  • Ayu Ad at Sogo HK

    Sunday, Sep 20, 2009 6:00PM / Standard Entry / Hamasaki

Another Hamasaki Update:  A few weeks ago I grabbed this Ayu-related picture outside of the SOGO department store in Causeway Bay:

Yes, its another Wacoal ad.   I haven't seen any since the subway ads they did last year.

Actually on the other side of the building they had had a window display that I saw briefly while driving by on a bus, but by the time I got a chance to go back next time I was in the area it was gone.  So I'm happy to at least get this one on film.  ;-)

Strange the stuff you end up talking about while eating Laksa and Wonton at the Bencoolen market....

  • Group Biking - Taipo to Taiwai

    Friday, Sep 18, 2009 7:00PM / Standard Entry / Hong Kong

People had been asking me to do another biking trip last month, so I planned on about three weeks ago on a sunday afternoon.  Ironically the people who had originally asked to go were too tired from partying til dawn to actually make it to the biking, but the rest of us had a good time anyway.

Since these guys were noobs to the Etchy biking experience,  we took the easy, flat route - Taipo to Tai Wai.  pretty much flat the entire way.

On the left is ever-subtle-in-his-emoting Rob, in the center is Patrick Creep, affectionatly referred to as 'Mr. A$$' by his domestic partner on the right,  Scottie.... who is riding a girls bike, complete with basket

you can't tell so well, but right before we left it was absolutely pouring rain... typical late august afternoon thunderstorms...  luckily we timed it just right. it was actually a bit cooler because of the storms too.

I didn't take too many pics as this scenery has been featured in many blogs already, and the weather wasn't super clear. :-P

The real fun came after we finished.  It turns out Scottie's dad was just finishing up rehearsals for his (at that time) upcoming Colesseum shows,  so we met up with them for dinner near where we dropped off the rentals.    It was a really OG place, but it was good!

no time to bike lately... too many weekends where i've been out of town... my abs are slowly dying. :-(

  • Flying to Singapore. There are only like 25 passengers on this entire 747! So empty.
