my favorite event sticker ever:
Its from the movie 'True Women For Sale'... but in Chinese the title is 'Xing Gong Zuo Zhe 2' (the follow up to Herman Yau's 2007 film about the sex industry with the English title
'Whispers and Moans').
The Chinese title means literally 'Sex Worker' though. The funny thing about this sticker was, after the premiere I forgot to take it off the sleave of my hooded Nike zip-up jacket. The next day I wore the same jacket to work on the subway... when I arrived at the office I noticed I still had the sticker on my arm... and had just passed like 5000 people on the way to work with the words 'Sex Worker' and 'VIP' emblazoned on my arm...
:-P
anyway, quick blog. very busy this weekend... next week will be even worse w/ halloween coming... don't expect a lot of long, interesting blogs anytime soon. :-(

On Tuesday night I was running down to meet a friend and I passed a film crew in the mid-levels part of HK. I didn't recognize anyone
like I did the last time with Teresa Mo, but I took pics anyway:
they were filming a couple sitting in a car.
nice wheels.
Anyone know what this was for?

Today I was walking back to the office and I saw a folded up piece of paper on the ground. I picked it up and was surprised to discover it was a check...
not just a CHECK, a BLANK CHECK.... that was SIGNED!
I think we just found our new venture capital! :-D
I'm not sure what to do with this thing... should I just tear it up, or should I call the bank and try to have them track down the account holder before they freak out and close all their accounts.
Or maybe I'll write it out to myself for $1 and try to cash it. :-P

The other day I came in to the office and found disturbing sight:
yes, that's a dead fish lying out on the table top in front of the fish tank...
For whatever reason, in the middle of the night this guy decided to somehow jump 2.25" out of the water and over the edge of the tank and land 7" away to its final resting place...
by the time I found it and grabbed a paper towel it was dried up and stuck to the table. yuck!
Its been almost 3 weeks since we moved out of our office, so you think the fish would have acclimated by now, but I guess this guy was a ticking time bomb...

Everyone seemed to like my blog about
the Cup Noodles Promo Tram last week... I've been keeping my eye out for it since then in hopes of getting a better picture for you all, but no luck so far.
Instead I did see this while coming back from the Esprit events in Kowloon last weekend:
Giant Cup Noodle bowls covering the columns on the platform...
unlike the tram, no steam coming out thankfully. :-P
