I can only hope that this is the last time we have to hear her name spoken again...

if you ever had any doubt that this person should not be allowed to control anything, listen to this rambling speech, not hardly a single coherent thought gets finished. She makes Bush look like a great speaker. :-P

jason - my favorite part was the one where she goes off on the tangent about the US military: "My decision was also fortified during this most recent trip to Kosovo and Landstuhl, to visit our wounded soldiers overseas, those who sacrifice themselves in war for OUR freedom and security... we can ALL learn from our selfless Troops... they're bold, they don't give up, they take a stand and know that LIFE is short so they choose to NOT waste time. They choose to be productive and to serve something greater than SELF... and to build up their families, their states, our country. These Troops and their important missions - those are truly the worthy causes in this world and should be the public priority with time and resources and NOT this local / superficial wasteful political bloodsport."

its pure stream of consciousness blather. Are the troops are teaching us a lesson because of their selflessness? or is it their 'important missions' that she thinks is the worthy cause that she would rather be supporting by resigning? two in-congruent arguments mashed together.

...or maybe she is resigning so she can take up the worldwide fight against islamo-fascism herself? :-P

archbled - one analysis I saw pointed out something good, it said that her days as a presidential contender were over, because from now on she'll be known as the person who thought the Lt. Governor could do a better job than she could at her job.

i think she's trying to run for president in 2012 in a yahoo article i read...only the title though so not sure what will happen :)
