Alive in Beijing 01 - First time in five years!

I flew in to Beijing yesterday for a week long business trip. (stay tuned for more on that).

Believe it or not, I haven't been to Beijing in over FIVE years... back then I was still in my 20s, I had a lot more hair and Beijing was still four years away from the 2008 Olympics. We both have changed a lot! On my way in to town from the airport I was surprised at how modern the city has gotten in the last five years. There used to be only 2 old subway lines, now there are something like 8 lines and they're planning 11 more.

This is definitely new too:

i gotta get me some buffalo wings! :-P

I rarely get out when I'm in Beijing. Haven't seen much of what's new. Looking forward to your blog(s) of your week (with photos, *hint*).
