A I R : Inspiration / Collaboration / Creation
3rd Annual Art Exhibition at Yew Chung International School
3 To Fuk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong
A I R: Artist-In-Residence - If you have no idea what that is, or what an artist-in-residence does, stop by Yew Chung International School in Kowloon Tong for a peek at a year's worth of collaborative art projects between working artists and students from the Early Childhood, Primary & Secondary sections of the school.
Three graduates from the Savannah College of Art & Design have used their specialized artistic focuses to art direct and work alongside students from around the school. Gabe Ostley (Sequential Art), Haruka Ashida Ostley (Painting & Performance Art) & Emily Eldridge (Illustration) showcase a selection of their personal work and collaborative projects with students.
The show will be up until August 30 - Stop by and check it out if you're in the Kowloon Tong area!

A quick little illo I just finished about the nature of education and teachers' adoption of new research methods and pedagogies. (Don't ask!)

Download my Desktop Wallpaper! One of my favorite blogs,
Kitsune Noir, which is based out of Los Angeles, has a great little project where each week a different artist creates a wallpaper for the site, which you can download and enjoy for free. Past artists have included some of my personal faves -
Merijn Hos,
Andy Rementer, &
Mike Perry among them. I created some Hong Kong-inspired illos for this week's selection. Hope you like!
While you're on the site, be sure to check out the mixtape section - there's some great tunes to download too!
