Disclaimer: This is not an official book review. lol. Just another existential sort of entry from yours truly.
I was scanning books from my roommate's stack and found some to be of value (aside from using them as alternative "tranquilizers" when I want to dose off to sleep) as I want an occasional break from the medical books that surround my periphery almost the whole day.
I am still amazed at times at how timely or lucky I can be at finding books, events AND people who are inclined with the things and life queries that I am currently experiencing. It's like having known certain individuals from a previous life or something, that it just is natural for us to connect, talk and discuss about things both mundane and a bit on the soul-searching genre. I need not explain myself in great detail to these people yet they can get me and I, them... and this gives me a thrill deep down that I can't contain.
I feel grateful still.
Here's a passage I found in one of these books that is simply presented...about living in the present moment that we are in:
"When we want to work with our own Inner Nature and with the natural laws operating around us, we reach the level of Wu Wei. Then we work with the natural order of things and operate on the principle of minimal effort. Since the natural world follows that principle, it does not make mistakes. Mistakes are made- or imagined- by man, the creature with the overloaded Brain who separates himself from the supporting network of natural laws by interfering and trying too hard."
-- Benjamin Hoff (The Tao of Pooh)

So if anything does not feel natural at all, then it might be safe to say that our soul just won't allow it to be incorporated into our life at the present moment, a sort of warning sign that some things need to flow the way it should flow, not the way we Think it should. I wanted to blog about this as I want to live this lesson as much as I want to share it with my online friends here.
Stay happy everyone!
