  • Six degree of separation?!

    Thursday, Jun 7, 2007 3:16PM / Standard Entry

On my last trip to HK, I was thrilled to meet up with the creators of "Alive Not Dead": Patrick and Terence through my dear friend, Eugenia Yuan.

I was inspired by their concept of creating this site as a virtual home for all the amazing and wonderful artists out there so we can expand our network and share knowledge and skills. When I found out that these creative guys are alumnae of Berkeley and friends with other Berkeley grads that I recently worked with on an indie film in Los Angeles, "Ping Pong Playa", I was more jazzed. But then to top it off, I got to hang out again with  Patrick and Terence as well as Andrew and Stephen in Los Angeles during the Asian-Pacific Film Festival here in Hollywood. It was a great experience watching so many indie movies from all over the world in a week and seeing all these fresh, new AP artists emerging before our eyes.

I'm truly excited to be a part of alive not dead. My congratulations to the team for being such visionaries. I look forward to sharing my passion for directing, writing, producing and acting with all of you and to learning from my new friends in this online community. We're no longer separated by space or time. How fun is that?!!!
