Wow, it's been a really long time since i've even touched this page. A lot of it has to do with the industry down time I've had over the last few months as well as me moving to my own place. Things however recently started picking up again starting with an NCAA commercial I booked. Look for it to air during March Madness where I play a tennis player. A week after that, I ended up booking an infommercial for an acne product called Max Clarity. Needless to say, it was a very enjoyable shoot and the people I worked with were professional and fun to shoot with.
Here's a little ad my friend and I shot together. It's still a little bit raw due to a deadline we had to meet, but I now have plenty of time to improve it in the coming days. Shooting it was a lot of fun although the post production was very stressful as expected. UPDATE 2/23/09: We were just featured on Capcom's official website. Go us!
So much and so little can happen in 2 months depending on your luck as well as what you are willing to make of it. Given that opportunities weren't going to fall into my lap as of late, it was convenient that I had already gone out to make opportunities for myself. So here's the gist of the results: 1. I am now officially signed to a new manager in Central Artists Management. 2. I underwent two months of training at new martial arts school. I definitely feel a lot sharper, cleaner, and more explosive than I was before. 3. Made some time to explore some more Adobe After Effects. Here's a little logo I made for a friend's production company (don't mind the music):
Other than that, last month I was fortunate enough to attend the Chinese American Film Festival opening ceremony. It was definitely a fun experience meeting up with old and new faces working in the industry. Feel free to check out pics in the new album. We also caught a glimpse of the movie "Duo Biao" (or Champions). While we were unable to catch the whole thing due to time constraints, what we saw of it was definitely enjoyable.
Anyway, hope you all enjoyed reading my pointless banter. Here's to hoping I can make the last few weeks of 2k8 count!
Hey guys! I'm glad to be a part of AND. Except I still have trouble working this thing. But feel free to check me out on my website www.eliverling.com.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley where all the other Asian kids were raised. After obtaining a degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, I decided to pursue what I always wanted to do in acting. Today, I am doing just that in LA. In my spare time, I enjoy training in martial arts, writing, and video editing with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. If you want to find out more about me, you can check out some of the other sites below:
