  • Wu Jing Going to Direct A Few More Films

Wu Jing mentions at Legendary Assassin press conference that there are three more films that he's going to direct, and this time by himself - a period movie revolving around Tai Chi, a modern actioner and a comedy. The script for the Tai Chi film is more or less ready, and they're already working on preparation.

Since Master of Tai Chi has shown all imaginable aspects of Tai Chi, it'd be really hard to breakthrough. I'm curious how different would he be presenting Tai Chi, and if there'd be something fresh introduced, and maybe he could do away with the standard Tai Chi routines, reinvent something, or just execute Tai Chi in a different way than his usual smoother, calmer style. Would be really cool if he could pull it off.

Being a wushu film, I'd hope to see a reunion of wushu stars he worked with before, such as Tan Qiao (who could help with the choreography), Xu Xiang Dong, Ji Chun Hua, Fan Siu Wong, etc. and possibly securing some cameos from Yu Hai and Yu Cheng Hui, and maybe having newcomers like Li Yuan and his peers like Zhao Wen Zhuo, Philip Ng as his main opponents or buddies. And for the choreographer, I can't think of anyone else besides Yuen Wo Ping, Yuen Clan, who's best at Tai Chi. That would be a dream team.

What profile, what head shot, what were you talking about? I don't see it, do you? That's what I get after uploading. It's there, but it's not visible to the naked eyes. ;-)

Oh, wow!  I'm excited for the Tai Chi movie!!!!  =)

Hey!  When are you gonna get a profile head shot?  I'm tired of looking at that empty box.  At least put in a yin yang or something cool....that's all...stepping down off my soap box now.

Thanks for the update on Wu Jing's projects!
