no reason for being in a good mood but maybe the good weather is perking me up.  It's 70 degrees Fahrenheit here today ~ very very rare considering it was snowing a few weeks ago.  And it was 40 degrees just a few days ago hehe...

Only 23 days left before I graduate!  I'm half excited and half scared ~~ it's quite confusing to figure out what I want to do...I've really only applied to two/three jobs but I already feel the pressure of trying to find one.  My ex-roommate (also an IT major) is currently doing freelance but I really want something more stable...truthfully I'm not a big fan of IT - it's interesting but I don't know if it's something I want to pursue as a career.  It pays a lot better than other jobs though...so I figure I'll learn through an entry-level job and then keep on going from there.

I figure if I don't really like it...always can have a career change!

Finals week is coming ~~ gotta work hard!

I looked at graduation with mixed feelings - great that school's finally over and done with but gotta get a respectable job and try to make respectable $. I had a Business degree in Intl Bus which is basically as usable as a marketing degree. I didn't know what to do or which way to go with that. Luckily I got into a small company that made computers and being in Silicon Valley then, that was really the best way to get my foot into the door. With my technical knowledge, I eventually got into product marketing and (finally) started getting the big bucks. It took a few years and I didn't know I was going in that direction but it all just worked out.

In summary (heheh), each job is a stepping stone. If you can see the experience you gain as helping in some small way towards your future (any future), take the job. Maybe have to bite the bullet too for a short time. I guess you'd learn a little something in most jobs....

Do good on your exams. Do you have any thoughts about grad school? Probably no thoughts on that now, eh?
