Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Edwin sang at his church choir for four years and served two years as an alterboy. It was until he had a chance meeting with legendary actor Steve McQueen while on location shooting his final film, "The Hunter" near Edwin's school that thoughts of pursuing a career in entertainment would be a dream come true.
Edwin is a graduate from California-State University, Northridge holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television/Film as well as receiving both the Catherine Clymer Scholarship Award from American Women in Radio and Television and the Educational Equity Award for Outstanding Service from the School of Communications at CSU Northridge.
Edwin began his career as a production assistant on "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol," among other behind-the-scenes productions. He made his acting debut on the pilot episode of "7 Days." Since then, he has appeared on both television, film and on stage, and continues to study his craft.
On top of his acting career, Edwin has a few producing credits under his belt. Recently, his film, "Mad Cowgirl" won two awards at the Silverlake Film Festival, most notably, best feature film and currently, he is line producing the online interview show, "Flipped Switch."
Edwin possesses a soft-spoken manner that masks a determination to succeed and is matched by his perseverence as he continues to look for projects that extols the human spirit.
