I was going to post some of my recent stuff, but I've been busy working on the home office lately. So instead, here's another round of backgrounds from Samurai Jack, by Scott Wills and Dan Krall. These are from episodes 9 (Jack Under the Sea) and 11 (Jack and the Scotsman). Man, I wish someone would compile all the great backgrounds from this show into a big coffee table book. Or pay me and I'll do it!

Very sad news on Drawn!. Sunday, the legendary artist and designer, Charles Harper passed away at the age of 84 from pneumonia. In honor of his life and accomplishments, I'm posting some scanned images from one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen; The Giant Golden Book of Biology. These are so amazing and inspiring, as is the rest of his work.

I can't get enough of the great backgrounds from this show... so hopefully you can't either! These are from eps 7 and 8. Episode 7 is one of the great ones with lots of fantastic backgrounds. Unfortunately, many of them were too hard to capture because characters or other moving objects were in the way. Enjoy!
