I just got hold of some footage of me dj'ing my Girl On Girl night at the legendary Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. It's an all girl dj party!

This next one is from the webcast that was on SheTV courtesy of Sugar Hooker Clothing. It's a bit dark, but you can see I'm wearing my Mardi Gras mask in this one! Some fresh 80's Electro remixes in this set, including my own remix of Madonna's "Into The Groove" about 1/2 way through. Good times! Yesterday's broadcast went very well, I had a longer than normal set for this show, and got to play a full range of music. We do this out of the Sugar Hooker Headquarters aka Candyland. Some 20,000 fans joined in the fun! Some extended clips posted here. You can rollover the bottom of each clip and a control bar will appear. Enjoy!

Part 1 - Techno/Electro mix featuring a special remix of Depeche Mode's new track Wrong remixed by Magda (2nd tune). Later I dropped Sebastian Leger's remix of Marilyn Manson's Beautiful People, and got major props on this one!:

Dubbed as one of “electronica’s shining lights” by KARMA Magazine in 2007, DJ Syrena has been rocking dancefloors in the US and internationally since late 1999. A consummate beat mixer who cut her own groove in the pulsating energy of the Los Angeles nightlife scene, Syrena’s sound is bold, sexy and confident. Dirty Electro, punctuated by Breakbeat, Funk, 80’s, Industrial and Rock influences, Booty-shaking House and Deep, Minimal Techno comprise her current repertoire, with roots in Drum & Bass that still influence her today.

Her infectious energy heightens the experience of any party, be it for the jetsetters at a Nikki Beach club or elevating style for a FENDI penthouse party, her client list reads long with lifestyle connoisseurs and culture-savvy entities. From fashion shows to celebrity events, her talents have resulted in a word-of-mouth-sensation to perform for the likes of the American Music Awards, Veuve Clicquot, Jaguar, Activision, ELLEgirl Magazine, and Miss Sixty.

Well respected by the media, she has been recognized many times over as one of LA’s hottest female DJ’s by the Los Angeles Times, Metromix, URB, KARMA and Mixer, to name a few. Her entry into the 2005 BPM Magazine Beauty and The Beats contest placed her as a Top 10 runner up, out of hundreds of entries. Asia’s Jade Channel/TVB Network based a reality TV show, on her experiences as a DJ in 2004, and she is currently the subject of a prominent filmmaker’s documentary on LA female DJs.

She is an active supporter of women working in the music industry, and founded Selectress.com, a website to promote her fellow female colleagues, and is a contributing writer to SheJay.net. Due to her reputation, She was hand selected by the legendary Viper Room to be the resident DJ for the raucous “Girl On Girl” Tuesdays featuring the best of female bands and DJs.

A master mixologist gifted with a natural ear for music, Syrena divides her time between live performances, and the sanctuary of her recording studio producing tracks for her forthcoming album.
