Working on a new Dirt Star music video idea based on a Floaty Keith robot character. Floaty did this poster for a Dirt Star show back in the day. We used to jam out, me playing on guzheng, scratching and dropping beats. Floaty Keith would play some great guitar progressions. Floaty Keith is a great artist and also painted my guzheng - see more about that here. Been thinking of doing an animated video, but I've never done any before. Have you ever done any - what's the best way to do South Park-style videos?

Built my own midi controller. Solid buttons to rock out on Ableton Live

20 buttons and a USB cable - simple as that. Buttons for rock stars to pound out sweet beats. Everyone always asks me how I make my music, so I'm uploading some photos of the music instrument I use. Today it's my industrial-strength homemade midi controller.

Played an awesome show with two of Taipei's scorching bands - the White Eyes and Sonic Deadhorse. Floaty on guitar. It was a pretty hot Wednesday night, and the place was jam packed! Thanks to everyone that came out to support us!

Taking some time to clean up some old photos - found a bunch of photos from a fun gig we did in a tea shop in Dongmen.

We had Dr. No on drums, A-dan on guitar and William Money cutting up the wheels of steel.

If I remember correctly, the Roadkills were in town for the show, and their bass player mysteriously disappeared while on tour. A fun show!

Dirt Star:

I'm an indie musician based in the south of China.

I mix a number of genres of music, with electro beats, rock guitars and lots of samples

I sing in English and Mandarin

I've released two albums independently: In 2005 he released “The Score”, an all-Mandarin album. And in 2008 Dirt Star released a new album, primarily in English called “On the street”.

I also collaborate with a lot of cool people, and I'm always looking to work on new projects.
