Just saw a report that listed Shenzhen as the second largest metropolis in China after Shanghai. Shenzhen is incredible, such a huge growing city. 

And at the same time, you can very easily step into the traditional rural world in Shenzhen too. 

There's a full-on rustic village in the mountains right close by to Shenzhen, and we saw these little goats there. Its in a mountain village  马峦山. There's a bunch of great little restaurants there too that grow their own chickens and goats. Its in a part of Shenzhen that wasn't open to development up until quite recently. Great mountain biking trails around there too.
