Vehicle Design_Clipper Boat_Birostis

In the book the boats are one very important element. Through them we understand the difference between the two worlds confronted in the story, rich and poor.
The rusty petrol in contrast with the High-tech clippers, give us a sense of the enormous difference in between the social class present in the story from were the characters belong with their own class behavīors.
As specifications for this vehicle, we get from the story that is a clipper made form high efficient materials with hydrofoil technology and propelled by sails/kite and motor.
In the book, Paolo add a petrol engine as extra propulsion.I decide to change this and replace it by solar panels to make the contrast bigger in between propel technology. So that the clipper would use only green energy with a electric motor.
Other important aspect is the kite-sails the boat use for get more speed catching the very high winds.
In the climax of the story this exceptional ability has a important role. So I design this 2 extra masts on the front for this propose. The orientation and position show as a open distribution of the forces coming form the kit, this will give also more control for ride it and more even propulsion.
The big mast has a sail, that is close in this shots for showing proposes. The solar panels can rotate 180 degree for better solar reception.
The boat's shape is inspired by the manta-ray fish and the model is taking the Scientific name of this animal, BIROSTIS.
The company who belongs this boats is Global Patel, Patel Transito Global, and the logo play with the shape of the Hull, remember us the Mercedes-Benz one, bring us to the mind the luxury and class.
