  • Mastercard Luxury Week came and went!

    Thursday, Sep 4, 2008 12:30AM / Standard Entry

    Hello one and all,

I'm so happy we made it! 5 days of non stop fashionshows back to back, and I'm totally luxed out. The fashionistas and glamorzons were out in full force and I conducted 12 backstage tours to the world. As Kimora would say: FABULOSITY rocked the town!
So to close the show, I want to share my favorite riceless moments with you and hope you like Dense, or Danisi, or Dennis' journal. or whatever you feel like calling me...

    Opening Night-
Uh, I know I was rocking a pose, but I'm not quite sure what the usher boy's intention was with me.

Another salute to wonderboy Ashley Isham for his demi-couture creation..My favorite dress for Luxury Week.

Why do they always put the octopus on me!? I love having curly wurly's but haven't they found a better solution to steaming the locks? (Ray, you're stellar!)

doodee doo dee doo, hosting backstage tour...wo shi wan shi da ka shi shang da shi, aw yeah..

Making friends with the Godiva boys is always a yummy treat. mmmm

I keep myself entertained with fruit as well. Did you know bananas are brain food for delirius people? (The make great props for photoshoots too)

And the wondeful little tots helped me out as well. They made sure my mic was ready and steady to go for Fashion Tv.

Please meet the most hard working photographer I've ever met in my life! Mummy propped her up and she snapped away on her digital camera. SO CUTE!

Say cheese! My wonderful and brilliant Mandarin tutor who helped me get over my nerves on hosting in Mandarin for the first time. I think I sounded like a donkey, but he reassured me that people understood what I was saying. EEE AAAW..(thank you Michael)

Entertaining Mastercard VIP guests from China.
As you can tell I was very concentrated on spelling my name right on each card. I was tempted to sign off as: "With Love, from Dense"

The dress I want to run down Queen's Rd West during lunch hour. I think I would end up with umbrellas attached to the ruffles just crossing the road. Goregous Oscar gown.. meow.

The new Pussycat Dolls have arrived...

Meet my kitty collar for that night. Purrrrrrr....

The flawless make-up maestroed by Wilson Eng.

    One last look before...

Hannah and I are on the loose. Darlink, Wat U Do Wit Ur Fingerz at a Faashon Show?

Ivy, thank you for being such a sweetheart.

Ed, thanks for always smiling at me:)

Girls, you know who you are, great job! I love you all and I wish you all the best for the future.

  • New Me

    Friday, Aug 22, 2008 5:11PM / Standard Entry

    Hey folks,

Back in the space and ready to roll out the shoe trunks to HK. It's been mad busy these past few days but all in a good day's work...Not sure if my mug is up yet but I've been told I've been spotted on a tram. Yey! A tram with my mug!! The Mastercard Luxury Week is happening and the models are ready to lux up the catwalk for 5 days at the Four Season's Hotel. I just hope I don't get another 'Dense Kenner' moment at the airport.

In the mean time here's a preview of the new 'me'

  • MAD ABOUT ENGLISH

    Monday, Aug 18, 2008 7:08AM / Standard Entry

If you guys are Olympics mad, boy do I have a piece of work for you.

I'm proud to announce a Singaporean filmmaker, Lian Pek and one of the most talented brainchild's of our time, Vikram Channa (EP), have executed a comedy-docu nobody has ever been able to capture of China. It will make you laugh hysterically, and it will make you weep like an ignorant empathetic loser. It has only been released in Singapore so far, but when it does travel, pls support this gem of art. It has been pegged to beat Fahrenheit 911 in Singapore in the docus category and I'm rooting for them to go all the way! GO LIAN, GO VIKRAM!

  • Singapore Taxis

    Sunday, Aug 17, 2008 2:07AM / Standard Entry

Now we all know Singapore is a 'fine city' -No chewing gum, no peeing in lifts, no durians on trains, no smoking in public areas, no eating and drinking in taxis and buses, no loitering, no spitting, no jaywalking, and the list goes on for no no no's on the island....the no signs are everywhere and I have to say we have the funniest ones in the world..

Including our lovely cabbies...this mighty fine taxi driver felt he needed to take our excessive laws into his own hands and created a special laminated DIY no sign of for his vehicle...

    Yup, he's covered his ass.
He also states that if he drives like a maniac (as most Asian taxi drivers do), he's not responsible for your laptop if it flies through the window.
But he wants you to take care and thanks you for strapping in. And not forgetting if you play musical chairs with your mates, it will cost you a fee. Be also reminded that Diesel oil has gone up, and he will charge you for the barrel on his tour de Singapore.

And after the rollercoaster ride, please feel free to spew in one of the plastic bags provided.

That's so sweet and generous. Aw shucks, I love Singapore Taxis...

  • SPORE GOD

    Thursday, Aug 14, 2008 12:36AM / Standard Entry

Today was such a beautiful day in Singapore! I had the honor in hosting the SPORE regional press conference at the Singapore Zoo today. Not my usual work venue at all, but it was totally awesome. There is something about the Singapore Zoo that is so therapeutic and so wonderful, I don't think there is any other zoo like this one in Asia.

To welcome all gamers, EA placed Spore creatures all over the zoo, including the outdoor toilets (it was a Monster's Inc door moment for me!). Overall, it was a delight meeting the Spore God himself, the creator behind the game, Mr Will Wright. I've never been overwhelmed by press presentations, but Will was hilarious and totally entertaining! For all you gamers, I'm sure you know the name...he truly was inspiring, in an Einstein kinda way:)

See the little creatures behind Will? We had those creatures everywhere in the zoo..I created one and named her 'Dense Kenner'. Check it out at www.sporeshow.com and create your own. It's sooo much fun!

I think we both kinda look like Spore creatures..
