  • SUPER JUNIOR

    Monday, Aug 4, 2008 10:49PM / Standard Entry

My highlight of the MTV ASIA AWARDS?

Doing the Super Junior hands off backstage...

Okay, what's the big deal holding up your hand and yelling a Korean hikoo?!?
My fascination with Super Junior started when I hosted the 1st MAA roadshow in Singapore and I had a crazy group of girls, who kept screaming incessantly in my direction. At first, I thought: Wow, they're such cute and endearing Mtv fans.. Aw...Yes, that's what I thought. UNTIL, I invited them on stage to play a game to win tickets.. They rattled a Korean mantra and screamed even louder. So loud, it popped the speakers bust. And they gave me no opportunity to host my show. All they wanted to do was cry, faint and scream for Super Junior over and over. I had no choice but to give them a handful of tickets...my eardrum was busted.

As a Vj it's totally crucial to do your homework and make sure you have all the facts down, but searching for information on Super Junior is like learning a new language. Better yet, forget everything you know, and become a Super Junior student. Learn Korean, copy the moves and scream like you're never screamed before.

If you get to watch the MTV Asia Awards on the channel, you will see millions of these posters floating in the audience. Absolutely fascinating. Even more remarkable is fitting all members on stage...

And boy did they have moves...

    Canned heat in their chests...SCREEEEAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!
And remember to not remove the plasma when they're dancing.

  • It can't get anymore priceless than this...

    Wednesday, Jul 30, 2008 2:35PM / Standard Entry

I've been called many things in my life...

Most people don't speak French and I would never expect them to pronounce Duuhneeese properly. I've been called 'Dennis' as in a boy's name (all my life), most Chinese people pronounce it a 'Deeneese" and lastly my favorite of them all 'Dahneese'. The list of variation continues as I get older... And that's just my FIRST name.

Keller is such a German name, it doesn't get anymore Deutsch than that. And again 'L' to most Asians is a tongue twister. In Japan I watch in amazement how most hotel staff hurt themselves by calling me: 'Ms Kerureru'. And back home, cab drivers get a kick out of calling me 'Ms Killer', which I don't mind so much. In return I get an imaginative movie scene, jumping out of the car with my mobile being a gun. I digress...

I arrived at HK airport for Mastercard's Luxury Week Press Conference recently, only to be picked up by my limo driver with a signboard that says:

    Very riceless...I mean, priceless..

  • MY Priceless Moments

    Thursday, Jul 24, 2008 10:47PM / Standard Entry

Mastercard Luxury Week Hongkong 2008 is happening soon and we're all getting ready to lux up some hawt designers. Tres fantastic!

But before thaaaaat, I want to share with you some of my priceless moments whilst filming the Priceless commercial. It was probably the most fun I've ever had whilst shooting on a job.

So let us begin with Day 1, with a 430am wake-up call. Ouch! Well, I felt the need to feel strong and mighty whilst having a spaceship hair heating system on my head. Lara Croft was running through my veins. But somehow I ended up in Hairspray, the musical. lol.

A conti. shot of how dramatic it is to work with a make-up artist who keeps stealing my wardrobe. Wei shen me!??!

Next shot, Mary Poppins arrives in Singapore with her best friend of stylish tools. SIngapore is dem hot and dem cold (get it?) well, if you don't you're not Singaporean. Cannot make it. Never Mind.

Speaking of heat, I love this shot of a true behind-the-scenes pic working in Singapore. It gets really hot here, but it's not the heat that gets to you. It's the trickling of water slipping down your back as if you were in a steam bath. Dim Sum anyone?

Whyyyyyyy aaaaaaam IIIIIiiii STAAAARIIIIIIIIIIIING At thiiiiiiiiiiisss PAINTiiiiiiiiiiing?!!

    I have no idea.

And lastly the creme de la creme of priceless moments at 3am, with a slipped ankle, and nearly losing one pair of half a mil. worth of black diamond earrings...(Actually, it was a one of my sick ideas to accidentally fall to the ground, swallow them and run, but paper towels completed my day making this commercial. Truly Priceless.

    BUT FIRST:

The hills are calling. See you there.
