a handful of years ago, i teamed up with an up-and-coming young director named Joseph to collaborate on a short film for Nike. he developed an amazing idea and asked me to contribute some photography to the film, which i was more than happy to do. what i had seen of the guy's work up until then was amazing.

Joseph Kosinski has since gone on to direct a handful of commercials and is getting a lot of hype about one of his current projects, maybe you heard of it; a little film called Tron Legacy.

this dude is amazing and deserves all the success that's headed his way. he's one of the most talented and nicest guy's i've ever had the pleasure of working with.

below is the trailer for Tron Legacy and below that is the short film that i got to work on with him years ago...

hey, remember this insane idiot? she's the weirdo professor from singapore that made the brilliant comparison between "anal sex" and "shoving a straw up your nose to drink" (i still don't get it).

i guess all the hoopla surrounding her idiotic opinions got to her, she won't be coming to new york as a guest faculty member at NYU afterall:

so for those of you who were really looking forward to learning how to be an asshole with dumb opinions, you're shit out of luck - her class was canceled. she claims it has to do with the hostile reactions she received but i'd venture to say it has more to do with the fact that nearly no one enrolled in her class. because openminded educated people tend not to like bigots, i guess.

i'm not sure what NYU was thinking, but extending an invitation to someone who has publicly claimed that "homosexuality is a mental disorder" and that the "ultimate goal of gay rights advocates is to be able to sleep with 13 year-olds" was just not well thought out. i'm personally not gay, so i wouldn't know for SURE, but i'm pretty sure that most homosexuals are not on some unified mission to have sex with 13 year olds (except for the 13 and 14 year old gays - they, of course, are trying to sleep with 13 year olds, which makes sense). basically what i'm saying is, NYU, you should have known better in the first place.

... but she withdrew and her class has been canceled and she won't get to enjoy autumn in new york and everything works out cheery and the good guys win. hooray.

thank you, professor Li-Ann Thio for not bringing your brand of hate and ignorance to my city. you still suck but at least you won't be spreading your idiotic opinions in my backyard.

thought for a second that Daft Punk added a third member (and turned into chinese women). but it's just some chicks up in china checking out the eclipse with welding masks on... nice.
