That Andy Lau incident was quite big at the time. There was an event where fans got to take pics with AL. A posed with the girl and I guess that wasn't enough for both of them. I think the girl's family jumped through hoops to get her there, to indulge her fanaticism, even though they were quite poor. Talk about messed up values of the whole fam. I think the dad wanted to get his attention and he threw himself over a pier. Craaazzzy. The fam demanded that AL attend the funeral but I don't think he did any such thing. She and her mom stalked his house. I don't know what became of them.
Although I admire AL's talent and longevity, I'm not actually a fan. Like I've said, I've seen so many of his films, none of them really stand out, 'cept perhaps the more recent ones. He's reliable, I'll also give him that credit.
Did you remember reading or hearing about that incident with the nutty fan and her dad? The dad who tossed himself into HK harbor (or some large body of water in hk) when he purported AL didn't give his crazy fan of a daughter enough attention?
I've seen Full-time Killer. I've seen so many Andy Lau films that they're kind of a blur. Asian movies often don't do the happy Hollywood ending, that's for sure.
Last night I watched the K-dramancedy (like that? haha) "Classic." It's an '03 film that had been sitting on my dresser for almost a year. The only reason I picked it up was bc I saw Jo In-Seong from "Frozen Flower" was in it. He was a little dazzling in FF (naked butt and male-on-male love scenes ;-P). He made Classic when he had much more baby fat. heheh. He didn't impress in Classic. But I discovered the female lead was Ye-Jin Son, who was also in "Art of Seduction" and I loved that movie and her acting in that. You should try to see Art of Seduction cos it's quite hilarious. Has no cloying, sappy sad ending (like Classic).
I recall not flushing a certain upstairs toilet if there was a guest in the kitchen. haha.
That's great.....even now when I see that green it makes me think of how much you must miss your mum. It's good to have reminders of our loved ones around us....it's like a loving embrace.
Have you picked out your kitchen appliances yet? That kind of stuff gets me excited. lol. I'm liking the brushed-steel exteriors; goes good with my kitchen 'look.' I have a 6-burner, gas stove that came with the house - can't imagine living without that now. Wish my fridge would break so I can replace it with a top & bottom versus the side-by-side that it is.
Many houses in your neighborhood get expanded? Or is yours the only one?
