    DJ Eman (Big Boy’s Neighborhood) and DJ Icy Ice from Power106 are hosting a Benefit Concert to help raise money for the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. Performances from the FAR EAST MOVEMENT, Baby Bash, Frankie J, Quest Crew, Kaba Modern, and much much more!

    Hollywood, CA

    *ALL AGES EVENT*
    $25 Donation for entrance
    100% of the proceeds will go to charities

    All performers and organizers are donating their time to bring this show to life. This is a chance to see a great concert while giving back to thousands effected in the Philippines

    Everyone here in the U.S. probably knows about this but for those of you who don't: if you guys have nothing to do whatsoever on Halloween night, you might want to consider going to the biggest Halloween rave in Los Angeles, MONSTER MASSIVE. Raves are making a come back for the past two years. Having gone to Monster Massive 2007, I didn't realize how big it was now until I went to this year's Electric Daisy Carnival. All I have to say, is that it was a diaster since it was a last minute plan: no parking, SOLD OUT tickets! It's crazy. So, for those of you who do plan to go, plan early and go early! Bring a ton of cash fyi: water, alcohol, and parking are crazy expensive. Stay safe and don't get into trouble! There's going to be a ton of people... so many in fact that they actually decided to open both venues (L.A. Sports Arena & Exposition Park)! DJ's include Sasha, Felix Da Housecat, Crystal Castles and Armin Van Buuren (and much more). Stay safe this Halloween!

    Deep Foundation
    This hip-hop group of talented emcees form a group named Deep Foundation. Now, I know a lot of people speculate and criticize Asian rappers but this group of emcees are quite different. Instead of looking and talking hard, they actually do bring a lot to the table with their rhymes. They help create a unique sound to their stories and songs that bring a fresh air of Filipino pride, confidence, truth, hip-hop, and sense of humor. They're based in the east coast but I'm sure the west coast of the U.S. will be hearing about them soon. With their focused effort to spread their ethnic pride and love for music, I'm sure these boys will be spreading positive influence to the Asian community with their well-defined outlook of hip-hop.
    I'm currently jamming to their song, "Sleep."
    For those from the Philippines, this beat from their song "Children of the Sun" should be familiar to you.

    Sam Geunjin Kang

    So, I've seen Sam Geunjin Kang around in a friend's facebook and recently saw him on Wongfu's blog and I must say he's quite talented! Apparently, Wongfu productions filmed his music video. Check out his stuff on youtube!  Watch out, David Choi! Not only can he sing some tunes, but he actually raps quite well in some of his songs. It's amazing how our generation is achieving their dreams by taking advantage of the internet and especially taking charge through youtube. Props to Geunjin!
    I had the pleasure of seeing the full raw video of Sam Geunjin Kang's music video that he collaborated with Wongfu at International Secret Agents this year. Unfortunately, it's not up on youtube or on their website so, I'm assuming they'll be releasing it some time soon. Keep a look out for it! Until then, check out his homepage and youtube videos. Enjoy!
    I'm currently jamming out to his "Dreams".
