Love in the time of Twilight

Sigh it's out of print. But I still will try my luck and hunt for it. Heck when I spotted Ashes of time soundtrack, it was the only one left in stores!

I am a Charlie Yeung fan and I cannot tell you how much I love watching her in films! HK films! And this is one delightful film from Tsui Hark, at his best then!

I have no idea why Tsui Hark always cross dresses Charlie Yeung. She looks really cool all the same. Eric Kot here, talking to himself. Without him this film would have lost it's comedic moments.

And we have Nicky Wu, former band member, former Ada Choi lover. All he does is act cute here, which he does really well. Most of the hard work is done by Charlie Yeung to make this film work. But he really is a handsome dude.

Charlie Yeung's character Yanyan asking for her fate. I think any fortune teller scene will remind me of Jacob Cheung in Cest La Vie, Mon Cherie. It was him wasn't it? Helping Derek Yee make his personal film.

    And here's Charlie Yeung again.

    And again...

Yanyan's father, another character that the film cannot do without! This film really wouldn't be possible if there weren't the support characters there were.

and some more of Charlie Yeung, I did mention I was a fan, no?

And from this movie, I can safely say...she erm..can't sing.

Sorely missed, wacky Charlie Yeung in wacky roles.

    This is exciting!

A friend of mine has just launched his album at Esplanade. What an achievement!

    JOshua on the guitars!

I didn't understand his music, I don't listen much to English pop/ rock. I guess I prefer cantonese songs and chinese songs. Maybe I grew up listening to those and admiring what the hk industry achieved. I remember secondary school was all "sammi Cheng" fever, and that was like all the way up to late teens, before the pop icon went techno.

Yet it was a funny thing, I remember my dad buying a Sammi Cheng album from HK when he visited HK and asked me what I would like. Without hestitation I said, oh I think any Sammi Cheng album would be good.

For me, I guess Canto and Chinese pop will always be my preferred choice of music to listen to. Anytime.

the surprise of volunteering with ayg as a photographer, the biggest surprise was that as volunteers, we got a treat to Stefanie Sun's concert preview just the day before it rocked Singapore at the Indoor stadium!

As a big big fan of Stefanie Sun, I cldn't believe I was there taking pictures!!!

It's almost heart-stopping seeing my idol this close, i wld like to say i'm not too old for this idol thing!

This was impressive! This prop on the stage opened to review to screaming fans the long awaited return of singapore's very own stefanie sun.

it was incredible hearing her live and seeing her perform. 'nuff said!
    totally way past cool!
