Chesterton (who famously took on the likes of George Bernard Shaw comfortably, with great humour that often shook the crowd in laughter) who once quibbed that we are "walking statues of God" - not hard for me to accept, since I believe we are all made in the image of God, as the bible claims.
In this connection, I regard our bodily expression in martial arts as akin to the display of the beauties we see in magnificent sculptures... only better... and whenever I practice, I try to dedicate my movements, however imperfect they are, and whether mental or physical, to my Father in Heaven - This, for me, is what the morality of martial arts is about, and it certainly is what keeps my passion in it alive!!!
