    This is a personal project of mine that will be ongoing.  Although I live in Shenzhen, until recently, I have neglected taking photos here.  This is, in part, due to my fascination with new places.  Making photographs in my own backyard doesn't  hold the same appeal for me, so I must force myself to get out, explore my own neighborhood and capture the images.  If you are in the area and you want to shoot together, I welcome company on night shoots.  Enjoy the shades.

    One of the great things about shooting in your own neighborhood is that you know it well.  Therefore, you have to dig below the surface to see something that grabs your attention.  Seeing the things you see everyday, you have a different "eye" for this city.  I think its a good exercise, makes you work harder, scratch below the surface, see something the casual visitor wouldn't notice.
