In keeping with tradition, here are some shots to round out 2008.  Fewer faces in this year's collection.  Perhaps that is a reflection on my state of being heading into 2009.

Hi, Chris. Just here getting a link to your picture of the Talking Heads at the exhibition for Miss Scarlett. She wrote a hilarious blog that included being mesmerized by TV's & I was telling her if they were as artfully arranged as they were in this ehibit they'd be a lot easier to shop for lol.

Interesting effect created by the lighting & choice of arrangemnts.

I'll have to go to an ehibition rather than an appliance store the next time I need to purchase a TV, I could actually decide which one I liked best.

Really interesting building. In a very odd way it looks like it's trying to morph & reach out more blatantly for the sky & give the soaring effect lots of religious architecture does. Mebbe the angle gives it a more squarish effect than the actual facade of the building.

Good lord, I just had a flashback to Mrs. Erdmann's Art History class. Get behind me, Satan! Lol.

A funny coinkydink to see this photo today. I saw a beautiful weeping cherry tree in fresh bloom & thought what a great photo it would be captured from that angle.

All I need to take MY picture is a camera & the talent lol. I'll get back to ya in about 5 yrs with the result...or not.

Haha I almost said the same thing as Butter lol. Also gives a great view of the rings & reminded me how I've heard they reveal the age of a tree.

The uneven edges of the cuts made me wonder if they were hand split. If they were, that must take some strength & practise. I'll have to ask JRS, she splits wood for her woodstove lol. But they're much smaller pieces!

I especially like the portrait of the man, conveys strength & dignity. Which is quite negated by the placements of the portraits lol. I guess it's the same artist based on the style, but had the girl been placed in the corner instead the effect would have been less erm..Peep Show, and more Art. Or something like that. Geez.

odd.  where is this?  very gothic.  it's the very ancient next to the modern that makes this odd.
