Last night was a lovely and warm night here in Malaga (27º, too much hot!). People get crazy when summer is coming, beach and going out to walk, drink or eat is the best way to fight against hot weather. Yesterday I hadn´t an exciting plan to do on Friday night: a friend of mine told me to go to a concert but I didn´t feel like too much noisy place so finally…BINGOO!!! I decided to go to the cinema to see the release of Chinese movie ‘Courthouse on Horseback’ (Mabei shang de fating) here in Spain. Critics said it was a very interesting and tender film and after seeing it I completely agree with them.

The movie is about a judge who travels around small hidden villages which are very difficult to access. Baotian Li is the actor who plays the role of old jugde Feng, a man with a very developed sense of justice who sometimes arranges problems with his own effort. I pretty liked this character, even thought the rest of actors where really well, too. It was very interesting  seeing how traditional and acestral methods rules life and don´t put attention to modern system of law. As a result: a lot of humorous situations which are very difficult to solve if you are judge and the guilty is a pig! Hilarious but true!! I recomend this movie 100%.

Just one objection…When will they stop translating movies in Spain? I can´t stand it…Is it so bad original version with subtitles..?

Without no doubt one my best discoveries in music for ages is the singer-songwriter Mika. Many of us complain of bying a CD so as to listened to 2 or 3 good songs but the first time  I listened ‘Life in Cartoon Motion’ probably I really liked all of them. His style is very British, (perhaps that´s the reason he reminds me The Beatles, Queen or Elton John, artists I adore). He likes talk about people who suffers a kind of discrimation: obesity ( ‘Big Girl –You´re beautiful’-) or homosexuality (‘Billy Brown’) but most of the time the main theme is love (love sickness-‘Happy Ending’) or encouraging people to love and forget problems (‘Love Today’’Relax, Take It Easy’)

He´s getting success and I hope he keeps on working so well as he does now!

Hi everyone! This is my first post in my blog and I wanted to be original and start with something really interesting but I´m not very sure about what to talk…Anyway… First of all I must say I´m a fan of Asian movies, tv dramas, music,…whatever, but when you are Spanish it´s very difficult to find something related with Asian arts in shops even more difficult to find somone to talk about this.. So I´m very very thankful to internet (blessed internet) to bring us the opportunity to contact people from all over the world who share the same passion.

I like to say that I´m a ‘student’ of Asian entertaiment because all is very new for me and there are so many things to see and read (even more if you are interested in Korean, Chinese, Japanese one) Too much work! So I try to be patient and search for interesting things. I found Alive not Dead when I saw a video of Daniel Wu where he invited everyone to this site and I was very very surprised because of its good organization and incredible effort to support Asian actors. I pretty like Daniel Wu, I think he´s one of the most talented actors in HK and he has a special sense to choose his characters (some of them not very conventional, living in a different way of normal people…who doesn´t dream to be one of this person once in your life?)…Well, hahaha! I´m not saying I´d like to be a murderer ( Divergence) but sometimes I feel what would happen if we would be another one…Anyway, it´s late! I have a terrible pain in my feet (too much exercise at gym, I guess) and my head is thinking over in a very philosophical way.
