  • Surprisingly Good Mood

    Saturday, Aug 30, 2008 6:10AM / Members only

Surprisingly I'm in a very good mood tonight!

Works been a bit of a drag recently, there's very little going on and what little there is to do are very dull to say the least. so i was very glad its finally the weekend! There's been several occausions this week I nearly slipped about my plan to leave the company/country soon.... I hate hiding things from people. I like my life simple.

Training's been at a stop recently due to the summer holiday. Really looking forwarding going back to training.  Starting to get worry if i would have enough time to meet my targets before HK, time to get training!

As for the good mood, I think it's because I realise how great my friends and family are! It's my Mum's birthday tomorrow and I'm gonna go home and surprise her, hopefully my dad haven't let slip my plan AGAIN!
  • Change of plan? Design Vs Nutritions

    Thursday, Aug 21, 2008 4:40AM / Members only

I've been doing some thinking recently and have been having thoughts about going back to Uni and study Nutritions... it's only an idea I've been playing with, but alot of my close friends and even my ex-girlfriend thinks they can really see me doing a job like that.... I know it's something i'm really interested in, but could I have a career out of it? Do i really want to waste the past 6 years of my life studying and working as a designer?

If there are any Nutritionist out there, I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could drop me a line and give me some advice in the matter. I enjoy helping people and anyone who knows me would be able to tell you I LOVE MY FOOD, afterall I do eat over 3800 Calories a day (But very surprisingly I'm loosing weight)

  • Injuries

    Saturday, Jun 28, 2008 5:06AM / Members only

Training progress been a bit slow recently. Just not noticing as much progress as I hoped. plus i've picked up a few bit of new injuries in the past few weeks. The main problem is something called compartment syndrome - it's basically my calf muscles are too tight and not allowing blood to flow to my feet, aside from that my lower back had also been playing up.

As a result i went to see an osteopath and was told do a bunch of stretches and muscle stabilizing exercises but the worst part is, I had to stop my TKD and gymnastics training for at least 2 weeks!!!  That might not sound too bad, but for me that really is torture!

  • Dragon Boat Racing, fantastic day!

    Thursday, Jun 19, 2008 3:45AM / Members only

Ok, this entry is a bit late, but i have been a bit busy.

On 8th June, for the first time in my life, i took part in a Dragon Boat Race. It was a pretty big event in London, If I remembered correctly there were 44 teams racing altogether and about 20,000 people turn up!

The "Team" I was in, had our first and last practice 4 days before the event, so we were never gonna win any medals, I volunteered to represent the chinese community centre, but i have a feeling a few of the others were forced into it by their boss.   I had a really good time, i must admit, i got a bit edgy and all competitive a few times, but over all it was just all a good laugh! Shame I won't be around this time next year to do it again!

The only down side to the day was the timing for rowing and our Taekwondo demo clashed! I was only able to take part in 1 out of 3 demos. (and the fact that i had really badly sunburn on my shoulders)

Not bad for a white belt hey?

  • Irony!

    Friday, Jun 6, 2008 8:41PM / Members only

1 month after I made the photoshop image of me with a black eye I managed to get a similar injury in real life. I guess i got what i deserve, is not half as bad as the faked image, but it's still not a pretty sight.

Aside from that, I'll be dragon boat racing in London on this Sunday, really looking forward to it, I might also be doing TKD demos, but depends if i have time. Feel free to come by and say Hi if you see me.

i'm not that young to like Beyond even though they were formed before I was born. They're still great though...
