In the musical “Go Left, Go Right”,
revised from the manga series written by幾米, 張鈞甯plays the female lead role, L, the translator,
Chen Bolin plays the role of the violinist, R, and the character similar
to 幾米,
the playwright, who creates the lead characters through his writing,
is played by Yang You Ning. In addition, 蘇打綠與魏如萱 as the left side orchestra, serenade the audience
with melodic tunes expressing the true feeling of the principals throughout
the musical…. After more than 2 months, the musical
ended successfully,
Though the typhoon had made it more
difficult, but it’s the artistic inferno that never dies.
I am really happy to have the chance
to work with many talented theatrical artists during this project.
This is truly a very special and precious
experience, and a especially memorable one as well.

asked me to write a letter to the character I played, R:
For “R”
在一個被強迫的處境之下,告知要給在下您寫一封信,
不管如何,對你的了解與解讀都還是從繪本裡找靈感,
你失意而神祕,純粹而無奈.
我在這次的舞台劇,也參與了你的,算是解析或稱之為解剖
的討論以及辯論,你被我們支解的支離破碎,再用具有舞台劇特性的膠水來重組,變形,變成一個有千百種性格而外表看不出的合成獸?然而我還要繼續的消化繼續的繼續的…這次的演出,會變成我的一種”R”egret嗎?
回到主題,我寫信給你,究竟是什麼,是我想了解你,而想像你的存在又或者是”舞台劇前恐懼症後群”的徵兆,我開始學著L翻譯著自己的腦袋,
再過不久,就要以你R的名義,站在舞台上演出,希望我的動機也是你的,希望大家不會不懂我在說的話屬於你的語言,希望你會在場給你這位實體R傳記”演者”,我,來一些認同.
你準備好被美化了嗎?更要有心裡準備被我醜化,我在不習慣的階梯,常常會有意外,
表演不好,我會怪罪到你身上,說,R這個角色是多麼沒有戲劇張力or不夠立體,而且質量之輕的…….
演出順利的話,觀眾會把掌聲放在”我”身上,說是我的演出精湛,hahaha….
感覺如何,不管是失敗或勝利,你都只是被支配的棋子…hahaha.
這就是我對我要扮演的角色所產生的敵意或官方說法,
這封信讀得很辛苦吧….?! 還是這一切都是我的不安全感?

Art comes from the complicated head
that needs to be interpreted,
You like it but might not necessarily
understand it,
If you can understand it all the time,
you just won’t like it as much.
