    HI HI

So I should really do a little of self introduction. I m sporean ,female and the girl in the blue top in the picture. hahahha .I will be typing in chinese in late again, but do give me time as I m really horrible at my hanyu pinyin. BTW, I have a rather wide range of vocab esp vulgarities thanks to my circle of friends who thought it would be cool to teach me swear words. So forgive me if you find it offensive.

I actually felt like typing in chinese today and I wrote down what i wanted to type, cos I do not have the mental capacity to think and type chinese the same time. That is why I feel better at livejournal. But it is really tough to type chinese in LJ as nobody reads it cos we all get a headache from even attempting to read. Afterall, the main crowds are used to the english language. My chinese teachers and elders used to call us 'gang tan' or potato in malay. Mainly because, caucasians aka ang-mohs treat potato as their staple food. Hence, my generation are all 'gang tans' I cant exactly say I m very english-based, but rather, it has become a habit. Having mix chinese and english in a typical conversation has been the norm from young. No one bothers to correct it as it is so common in our society. Sporeans are like that, mixed like a rojak. We are totally not like other countries Chinese nor like caucasians. It is rather weird as we are not that strong in eng but not that strong in chinese too. Or perhaps this is a unique characteristic of ours :)

Because I havent been to school in ages, havent been to a proper dance studio to dance. No dance = increased chances in accumulating fats. Better not let my friends hear this, if not they will slaughter me. Afterall, standing at 168cm and weighing 46kg, I can hardly count as fat. But I just miss the sweat after dancing for 5 hours non-stop and the music, the rhythm, hip-hop, double pirouettes, blisters and floor burns. But having a ballet foundation means I prefer contemp. The space to develop and recreate is so wide and unlimited. Furthermore, the softer lines as compared to ballet is veyr me, as I would say. HIp-hop/jazz/R&B comes in second. I jsut love the rhythm of the music. Once I hear it, there is a certain part of me that just wants to dance along. But , the dance scene is Spore is way too small to the point of pathetic. The girls to boys ratio is so unbalanced, that is will really top the scales or something. Common perception is that male dancers are gays. How stupid. Realyl love going to other countries to check out the dance scenes. Just came back from melbourne where I had a dance exchange program. Learnt alot of new fucking good moves and all my fellow dancers said I could finally shake my butt in a proper way. BUT after seeing all the dances, felt rather sad and inferior cos I feel way low grade as compared to them. BUt really much thansk to my instructor, Zaki. My improvement in the last two years has been pretty amazing I would say .Even though he is very sarcastic and strict, I have finally built up a strong foundation and can do more genres now. Hope that when I get to uni, would still be under his tutelage even though he will be even tougher on me.

Well, enough about dance. On to my next big interest, clothes. Haha, fashionista at heart. Just like  I said about our languages, Sporeans are really different yet again. We do not like the funky clothese and wild colours that Japanese likes nor the baggy clothes that Hk-es and taiwanese loves. IT is rather unique. TONS of layering and dresses and monochrome :) But recently, my personal love and many other teenagers love has been VINTAGE. High-waist, bright colours, unique cuts has been appearing in frequent hangouts like FEP and Bugis which are shopping centres/areas in spore. But I have buckled fro mthe trend yet again, preferring to dress in my own way which includes monochrome (black, white and grey) and many dresses. Way too many in actual fact. Perhaps it is the weather or just a fad, dresses are wayyyy popular here. You can see tunics being converted into dresses, long tops being turned into dresses and online shopping for imported dresses. Everyone is crazy over them. But to me, it is more of a simple choice. Being very simple in my thinking, I do not like to complicate things by mixing and matching and hence the choice in safe colours and simple cuttings. Hence, the passion for dresses. Just based on last month alone, I have bought 10 dresses. That is really exaggerrating. My friends always say I have the weirdest taste in clothes and I never ever go with trends sometimes even going wayyy after the trend. But just having been to Japan and Australia, I have been spending way beyond my means. Everytime I go overseas, I go with a half-filled suitcase and return with 2/3 suitcases. It is really ridiculous, the amount I spend on clothes. But this time round, Japan was much cheaper and I  just had to get stuff there. But myonly regret was I never had the chance to check out the store that stock Triumvir's line of clothing. Friends have been telling me about the cool designs and I m a personal fan of huge tees which I wear as dresses (dont ask why). Which is why I m really hoping to go to taiwan soon to check out the jackets and shirts for my friends and myself. Felt pretty sad but I was pretty broke by the end of the trip too. Australia was fun too. Supre, Dotti, Valleygirl, etc became kinda of like my second home. Bought like many dresses there too cos they were way too cheap and my style to not buy. All in all, I'm a SHOPPING QUEEN who never fails to max out her credit card each month and then get s berated by her parents. Haha. Planning on going to Taiwan or Hongkong this year (almost said next year) for a short trip. Hope to see you guys there and maybe alivenotdead members would bring me around to shop and paly :)

    to be continued
