This is one of my favorite times of the year- March Madness, also known as the NCAA College Basketball Championships. This year, by the narrowest of chances, "my" alma mater team the Arizona Wildcats made it to the big dance. I would love the tournament even if they didn't, but this makes it all the better because now I have someone to root for :)
It's funny how the chances of your childhood shape you. When I was little, my brother collected basketball cards and gave me all his discards. So, without any real intention to, I started to collect basketball cards. I could never tell you what team a player was on, but I had a knack for remember what color jerseys they wore. I guess it didn't really matter what players' cards I had, since they were probably the cards that weren't worth very much anyway. It was also the glory days of the Chicago Bulls "3-peat" years, along with teams like the Lakers and Celtics with Magic and Bird. I can't believe now those are like the historic days of basketball, kinda like when Lew Alcindor and Bill Walton were the "good ole days" of the game when i was a kid.

I used to love collecting basketball cards too. I loved collecting the ones that had really cool photos like someone dunking over someone. Have fun during March Madness it's always a fun and exciting time of the year. :)

I think the Wildcats are better in football. =)

Arrr...March Madness.

We have the Sweet Sixteen, then the Elite Eight, and then the Final Four. NCAA basketball has the coolest name for their brackets.

My fav has always been UNC Tar Heels, and Georgetown Hoyas.

cool... I used to collect TMNT cards... hahaa... =D I used to watch NBA when Karl Malone (the Mailman) was still playing, but now he's like part of the historic days... hahaa... weird...
