48 HOURS OF DARKNESS

I have never tried living in a place with no electricity for more than probably one day (24hrs). In the past 2 days, I experienced the longest period in my life with no electricity in the modern world. The typhoon came on Saturday and it was bad - but still OK (most of the people can still have electricity at home) - but after I wrote my last blog reply at noon, the winds came even stronger with very heavy rain. I think it's about 1500mm... and at 3pm, about 210 thousand households went out of electricity becoz poles were brought down... at the same time, water came into my friend's house thru air conditioning, plugs, and any leaks you may have there... anyway, now I am back to the world of lights, I will be sharing some pics I captured these few days later on...
hope that electricity will be back on soon so they do not have to live with a light flash and candles... and most of all, they have to sleep at house with windows and doors opened (but no winds) with lots of mosquitos...
