Calvin Wong is Executive Vice President, Asia, Warner Music Asia Pacific. Overseeing marketing activity for Warner Music across Asia including Japan, Wong has direct responsibilities for seven markets including Korea, Hong Kong, Phillipines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Wong has worked in the music industry for over 20 years, and during that time has been instrumental in launching a host of local and international acts in Asia.
Kick-starting his career as a sales rep for EMI Music in Malaysia in 1987, Wong was soon promoted to International Label Manager before a stint in Hong Kong as Regional Marketing Manager for International Repertoire. After returning to Malaysia to take up the position of Marketing Director for EMI Malaysia, Wong settled in Hong Kong in 1997 as Vice President Marketing, EMI Music Asia.
