    I don't know if this happens with anyone else but I go through these periods where I just like to listen to certain songs over and over again.  These have been getting alot of play on my iTunes recently.  They're all pretty different but the emotions in each resonate quite strongly for me.  So what's everyone else been listening to lately?
    Sweet Song :: Blur
    Blur is one of my favorite bands ever and they're probably the band that I've seen live the most as well.  This has nothing to do with the crush on lead singer Damon Albarn my girl friends and I shared at one point of course.  This song was on their 2003 release Think Tank which I don't have.  I'd heard a couple of songs and didn't get into it.  Sadly this wasn't one of them.  I just discovered this song recently via super Korean drama "Coffee Prince".  If it weren't for Korean dramas, I probably wouldn't have much new music these days.  I think this could be my favorite Blur song of all.
    安静 :: 周杰伦  (Peaceful :: Jay Chou)
    An oldie sort of and such a goodie.  This was one of the first songs I heard that got me into Chinese music again.  Jay Chou is a total megastar now but he was just 22  and already earning high praise when this song was released on his sophomoric album Fantasy.  I was really impressed with the beauty and depth of this tune and the fact that he composed, performed and produced it all himself.  Yes he's a bit of mumbler but  it works for him and I love singing along to his songs especially this one.

    Flower Pot
    :: Loveholic
    I don't understand a word of what they're singing sometimes but I've been loving Korean band Loveholic for awhile now.  Their songs are quite often featured in Korean dramas.  I can see why as they're usually pretty wonderful.  This one was in "Coffee Prince" too.  Someone translated the lyrics into English in this video and all I can say is Wow!  Ji Sun's vocals are lovely here as always.

    I'll Fall With Your Knife
    :: Peter Murphy
    Despite the title this is a love song or so I'm told by my husband who first turned me onto it.  But then Peter Murphy did get married in a crypt so this would be his version of a love song.  This one was on an album called Cascade, one of his solo releases post Bauhaus.
    When you think your chance is passing by
    When you blow your moon away
    I'll bleed like the reed
    Fall with your knife
    It's here I'll be with you

    yeah, I go though that period also. After I listen to a certain song I haven't heard for a long time I’ll be obsessed with it again.

    Blur is cool! English rock bands were huge during the 90’s; I’ve been listening to some of them again these past weeks – muse, suede & oasis.

    Haha yes I do listen to certain songs over & over again but after a while I'd get bored with them. I like Jay Chow too. I know what you mean by his mumbling. I guess that's what made him unique. : )

    The Loveholic song is lovely.  Although I have heard of Blur that is the first time I have actually listened to them, eek, I prefer Oasis (my bad) but I did like the song.

    I liked the Peter Murphy song too

    I aays preferred Blur to Oasis who was always their rivals. Much better group. I like 'Sweet Song'. Jay Chou's is very nice, and i too like Loveholic. It's great when you see a translation of a song you really like.. It's one of those things, it's nice to see subtitles but it's a great gift when a band or artist can touch your soul even when the language barrier is there.
    Thanks for sharing these tunes butter.

    Honestly I have never heard these songs before... but after listening to them, I kinda like them.... =) sounds good...

    hmm... I usually just keep my iPod on shuffle, so it just plays all the songs (a mix of oldies and new songs, english and chinese, and probably every genre) hahaa... I just like to keep music going... ;)

    Mm hmm, yep. I can go through phases of listening to a single song over and over again. And albums too. I can have a single CD in my CD player for weeks without a problem.
