Well I'm back...sorta...kinda...not really completely... just yet.  But  I'm putting in a cameo appearance here to say I'm still around, feeling better, getting myself straightened out and just enjoying the summer in NYC.  I hope a good summer is being had by all. Thank you to everyone who's dropped me a comment, message or email.  I apologize for being so slack to respond and for all the blogs I've missed out on but sitting in front of the computer for hours just hasn't been the thing for me lately.  I'll try my best to make it up though I can't make any promises on feeds so please understand.  If anyone wants  me to read a particular blog of theirs, just point it out to me and I will try to oblige.  Here's a bit of a catch up of the past few months in photos.

The last time I blogged about the Yankees, they were in first place.  Well that hasn't changed.  We got to attend 2 games at the new stadium and it rocks.  Our first game on July 4th ended up being a 6 hr. 12 inning affair completed with a dramatic walk off win.  Then we got to see our 1st ever game against division rivals Boston thanks to free tix from a vendor of Mr. B's. We went early to batting practice.  The energy at these games is always more intense and the stadium was shaking when the Yankees scored 9 runs in the 5th inning.  They went on to win the game 13-6.  We're thinking we must bring them good luck.
Our seats were padded and there was waiter service in our section.  Yes we can definitely get used watching games in this manner. Of course a bottle of water also costs $5.

Wendy and I caught this year's Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night which featured a talented ensemble led by Anne Hathaway.  It was a long day of waiting but so worth it as the play was very entertaining and a quality production.  The reviewers agreed as Charles Isherwood of The New York Times contends, "Incidentally or perhaps not - the varied talents of its all-American lead cast help restore faith in the city’s ability to cast Shakespeare in depth.  All together now: most wonderful!"  We missed you this year Ivy. Sorry for the lack of pics.  They have a very strict policy on photography but here's a visual of the lovely Anne Hathaway who made a most excellent Viola.

Explored Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.  It was declared a national historic landmark in 2006 and at 478 acres there was plenty to see. Notable residents include Leonard Bernstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Horace Greeley and Boss Tweed.

Did the obligatory walk across the Brooklyn Bridge before it really heated up in the city
"yellow thong" dude is a regular in the park.  He looks inappropriate from certain angles.

Visited the Guggenheim for the first time in many years to view a Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit in celebration of their 50th anniversary.  What great lines and architecture.

Came upon supermodel Linda Evangelista doing a shoot for W magazine in Noilta.  It was super hot and she had this on.  Looked like she wasn't even breaking a sweat but that's what she gets the big bucks for.  Some guy next to us was convinced she was a tranny for some reason and we were like take a good look at her neck and hands dude.
Food pics are coming up for those who haven't eaten.  We did partake in Summer Restaurant Week which has been extended to Labor Day.  A few highlights starting with poached Atlantic halibut from Craftbar.  We did a repeat there since we liked it so much.

avocado toast ~ my current fave thing to eat.  So simple and super yummy!

This sign that's posted outside Rice to Riches, a joint in Nolita  that serves nothing but many varieties of carb-rich rice pudding always cracks me up

This thing actually lasted for about 2 weeks in my hot little hands
Before I used it on these cords. Can't wait to wear them and I want that belt too.

Been coveting these shoes.  Wandered into Bloomies to avoid the rain and found them on sale. Saved an extra 15% on top at their pre-sale so they weren't even $50. Yay for sales!

    Pink flowers make me happy

Took some pics at a wedding. This was my fave.

Aww I would've loved to have watched Twelfth Night (and Anne Hathaway) with you girls! Were you girls able to score tix during the first round this time?

(Sorry for the belated comment, am catching up on my blog reading very slowly)

Hey, my friend, glad you are back , haven't hear from you for such a long time . Well , the good news is that you always bring us with your beautiful photographs and wonderful experience , I know it sounds old , but still thank you very much for sharing with us. Anyway, one thing that bother me is that the more time I watch your pictures taken from NYC, the deeper I want to visit there, maybe you should  not seduce me anymore.
