It's no secret that I'm an ardent fan of baseball and the NY Yankees.  So I'm super excited that they're this year's American League Champions and will be playing in the World Series against the National League champion Philadelphia Phillies.  It should make for some exciting baseball as it's a pretty even matchup on a level of talent. The Yankees came into the post-season with the best record in baseball winning 103 out of 162 games.  The Phillies are the reigning champs and the fact they've made it this far again proves just how formidable they are.  Of course the epic collapse of the Mets certainly helped.  The 7 game series commences tonight on Fox with JayZ and Alicia Keys set to perform “Empire State of Mind" pre-game.  Hopefully the rain will stop before then.  Mr. B and I will start out sitting in the same spots we were in the last time they won.  If that doesn't work we start moving.  If they score, we don't move.  Just a few of my fave moments from this season.  Go Yankees!

Great to hear your team has done you proud, hope they win again. I do think a big game is much more fun when the teams are evenly matched, hope by the time you've read this your team won.

Go Packers! What\'s that? Oh, wrong sport. Sorry. Wait, what season is it? Let me check with John at the Daily Show... Ah, I\'m suppose to be angry about the loss of the Mets. Well, I\'m happy for you. Someday I will return to the USA or Japan and take up following baseball again. Until then, only 8 more months until the Tour!

Gosh...I really enjoyed FINALLY having a winner in the City of Brotherly Love (and booing fans).  I just heard an interview with Robin Roberts an old phillies pitcher who was in that 1950s series.  He said that he was exhausted by the time series was played because they didn`t rotate the pitchers but I think he said that the series was played not long after Labor Day!  Yikes.  the season is really long now.  Well.  Good luck.  And may the best team win!

A guy on the weather station said the last time these two teams played for the World Series that each seat cost $1.00.  And Joe DiMagio was getting paid $100,000...the first player to get that kind of money.  Now, A-Rod pulls in $28 mil?  Wow.  Enjoy your series!

It's a nice feeling when your home team does well. Well, the yanks are doing spectacularly well. I only follow the Niners and they've won 3 games so far, which is a vast improvement from last year (so far). Not just the wins but the way the team has coalesced is encouraging.
