I am a fan of science and research, it dominates much of my life. Another thing that dominates my life is multiple sclerosis. It makes life difficult, but definitely not impossible!
For work, I study bone marrow and other disorders of the blood and immune system in addition to brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, and disorders of the blood/brain barrier. It is fascinating, and constantly changing as new knowledge is found, breakthroughs occuring. It is never dull!
I am half Puerto Rican-Cuban from my father and Italian-British on my mother's side. Family gatherings are....interesting!
I sing classical music with a choral group and go on concert tours every few years. My friends and family are incredibly important to me, I would not be able to live without them!
