Let's consider the the signs of it
Not dropping off to sleep on time. It's something many do later rather than earlier. We simply continue playing and do not get our heads down. Sleeping patterns can evolve therefore we don't seem like sleeping. Getting out of bed will not be easy the following day. Gaming requires a lot of focus. It's normal to then feel fatigued the next morning.
Replaying games. A person always has an element of gaming in your thoughts. Perhaps when out for a walk. Might be on holiday. Even when out cycling. However the body's imagining playing the game they love.
Life requires a back seat. You simply care about having the ability to game in your time off work. Our relationships break up. People don't do any exercise. Showering could become increasingly rare.
Playing an excessive amount of. More and more time is devoted to gaming. They might even deny how long they have been playing. All their time is on the gaming system
Anxiety. You can find easily annoyed should you gaming poorly. You have to love playing the sport. Have a period off whenever you notice your mood being effected.
Oliver loved Starcraft II. He didn't play too often when he began. But soon work gave him time off. Sessions began to get longer and longer. He visited bed later and later. Thinking about gaming became his only thoughts. Speaking to his family took a backseat. He rarely went into work. All this just to be gaming. Within 6 months everything had changed. He rarely saw friends. Work had given him the sack also.
Playing can be very exciting. It's also worth millions of dollars. But people may become obsessed. Be alert to the issues we checked out above. Be sure you know when you'll end gaming by. This helps to help keep you safe. Play Safe.
Brian liked playing Starcraft. He didn't play all too often as he began. However then he had a couple of days off work. Immediately he was playing for extended periods. He started going to sleep later and then. He couldn't take his mind off Starcraft Strategy. Friends hadn't seen him in weeks. He started not going into work. All this just to be gaming. Within six months everything had changed. He rarely saw friends. His employers had had enough by then.
You should remember not to exaggerate it with regards to gaming. Plenty of people game absolutely fine without no problems what so ever, but if you're among those individuals who really do get obsessed and addicted, then seek the aid of your support network. Your support may include people much like your family, friends, teachers and when it gets really bad your local doctors clinic.
Remember, gaming is perfect for fun, if it gets control your lifetime maybe it is not the right thing to do.
