my being MIA...

sorry for being MIA (missing in action) for a few days...

well i've been a busy bee...and my PC at home is giving me headaches...

turns out my CPU power supply wasn't stable...got my friend to come and replace it yesterday and when i turn it back on, there's still a small glitch...my friend says, it must be some hardware or software crashes...he'll come and take it back to fix i today i guess...

i have 30th and 31st for holidays...it's actually a local celebration: Tadau Kaamatan...which is Harvest Festival for our local native the Kadazans...there will be a lot of singing, dancing, drinking of Tapai (local rice wine) and of course other liquors, alcohols too...honestly, i've never been to any celebrations since i was legal to drink...only when i was little and we were staying at my aunt's place which was nearer to the village, so we celebrated with her farm workers...

i'm not sure what's gonna happen this year, but i'm looking forward to it...

let's talk about the past week...

my "son" was here from Kuala Lumpur...he's actually a colleague from my old company, but he's based in HQ which is in Shah Alam...he's an IT personnel which makes him a busy bee in the office...the reason he was here was to set up the computer network in the site office...Friday, went out with him and another colleague (taking her 4-year old daughter along) to a cafe-pub...to my amazement, it was my son's first time to a place like this...AND HE SAYS HE'S FROM KL! and he's never been to a club or a pub...i was in West Malaysia for a year and at least i went thrice!

the next day, took 'em to Sabah Foundation Building, which is a cylindrical building (well i took photos of it, will show the photos in my album shortly after i get my PC fixed!)...

on the 18th floor of the building, there is a revolving restaurant known as @mosphere...the 'feel' there is totally awesome! i've been there...lemme see...4 times including this time...just had drinks there, never had dinner there, heard the food wasn't that nice and it's SUPER expensive...well, it's really really classy...i'll show u guys the pics, just bear with me there...and the view from the restaurant is just marvelous...u can pick the sea view, mountain view, city view...well, just pick ur choice, i have always picked the sea view, calm and soothing...i'm there to relax...

my son was impressed i presume...anyway, it's his first time again at a place like this...and i thought he lives in the capital city...i had an espresso, been drinking a lot of espresso lately, from Coffee Bean, from Secret Recipe, now in @mosphere as well...my son had lime juice...which looks real nice with the tall inverted cone glass...no worries, all in the pics...

at around 6pm, we left the place...son has a flight to catch at 8:15pm (which in the end delayed 25minutes)...

we drove to the covered walkway behind Hyatt and Wisma Merdeka to catch a glimpse of the sunset, too bad it was pretty cloudy...no worries, there'll always be next time...then we rushed to the low cost airport terminal, and he checked in...then we went around venturing the new building...this is my 2nd trip there, once again, my son's first trip on a low cost carrier and first time to this terminal building...so many of his first time happened with me, muahaha~ (u guys, don't get any wrong ideas~)

with another non-KK resident gone, guess my days will be normal again, work, hang out sometimes, have a few laughs, dinner sometimes with a few crazy people, supper perhaps...or just stay at home and face my PC...

i really enjoy taking people around, bcuz i can chill as well, find out more about the place i'm from...maybe get to know more people along the way...
