jumper...

and so we were in the office past 5pm...usual...for me...and some of my colleagues...

my manager got a phone call from her friend, also working with our sister company, her office is just across the street...

the conversation goes something like...

"what? you must be kidding..."

"facing your office?"

"no...don't go and see things like this, you'll have nightmares at night..."

obviously, somebody jumped off the building...and this time, I'M IN THE BUILDING!

Wisma Merdeka is one of the earliest built shopping complexes and one of the tallest building in town, i think it's celebrating it's 22nd year of operation this year...and over the years, there have been many cases of people jumping off this building...but i was never here, or anywhere near when things happened...

anyhow, a couple of my colleagues went downstairs to grab some food...(my office is at the top of Wisma Merdeka Phase 1, which is the 12th floor) upon their return, they shared stories overheard from the security guards...

jumper was a malay guy, 20 something, he smashed the window glass and jumped off from the 9th floor of Phase 2, landing at the side entrance facing Wisma Sabah, near the City Shuttle Bus Stop...the guy dive jumped, screamed and landed head first, so according to the guards, his hands and head were erm...well...please do not try to imagine

anyway, it caused a big commotion 12 floors below, expected and we could hear the cops and ambulance coming e o e o e o, maybe like 45 minutes later...there was a massive jam outside, we could see long rows of headlights from our window facing the street...

me and my manager left the office around 7:30pm (considered early compared to usual days), so of course we didn't see anything, and we didn't go out through that side door as well...i did however pass by the shops near to the side entrance with the intention to get some info about the incident from my friend working at one of the opticians there and buy a new pack of contact lenses, but he wasn't in so i left...i saw that there were still some people lingering around, not a crowd, just some collective number of people looking out, stuffs like that...

i'll check out the news tomorrow...at least he didn't jump from the same phase...

no comments on suicide attempts...i think everybody have had the intention to commit suicide at least once in our lifetime, but of course, many of us didn't do it, and lived on till today, some did but survived, and some passed...whatever the reason is, i'm happy with what i have, it's not much, and it's not the greatest, but i'm ok...i still have places to visit, things to see, people to know, so i have no intention to die under unnatural circumstances...let's stay AliveNotDead

i like my life now...honestly, eventhough there are those really bad days that you wish you were dead, but then again...i've seen past all these, i tell myself there are more to be expected from tomorrow, and the day after, and the days that follow...better things will come...
