  • Live shows' week~

    Sunday, Jun 7, 2009 3:36AM / Standard Entry

    Hi guys,

Last week was so lazy that i didn't even write a word in this blog.  So here I will put more stuff on for this week's blog hehe ^^"

I have completed a lot of things last 2 weeks.  I have put in entries for 2 video competitions, watched 2 live shows, and 1 photography editorial entry.

Here are the 2 video competitions screen captures.  The 1st one is to create a promo for the "Interbrand" company.  They request to have someone or something that is "curious", "bold" and "helpful", which is to represent their company image.  Could you guess what is it?

The 2nd one is for the "MyVideoCompetition2009".  That is a competition held by Hong Kong as well as Taiwan, for creating 30s video to promote "copyrights".  Friend and I have chosen "love letter" as the subject.  Since love letter is a very private and personal artwork.  If this even could being copied, there will no creativity in the world.  We're lucky to have another friend who was free to be our talent~  Thanks, Andy!

For those who are interested to watch the full version of the videos above, please go to my website <http://www.blurroad.com/> under the "promo" section.  I haven't put them onto youtube or sites like that yet because they are still under selection period.  Sorry for any inconvenient ^^"

I love music, that's why I love producing music video.  Here I have attended 2 live shows this week, very lucky!  Friend of mine, Deb Fung, got Asia tour and she was performed in the Club JJ's in Grand Hyatt Hotel, soon after the Music Matters Conference.  She is great as always, look lovely and sing gorgeous!!  I am always one of her fans~
<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz0S1EhG1LU> (Recorded her on my little camera...)

Another live show is Rain, the Korean artist.  It is called "Rain's Fashion Concert".  Rain designed a collection of clothes, which he created this fashion show to accomplish his singing dancing performance.  His fashion design is good, easy to wear, smart casual always look nice.  This is my first time watch his live performance, his dancing talent is fantastic!!  He sings well too.  No wonder he got so many fans around the world~

The last one about photography editorial entry is about a newly formed magazine.  It's called "Fillens".  Fillens is the combination of words french "Fille" and english "Lens".  It's pronouced as "feelings'.  It's means that female's camera, female's photography.  They got long-term entry and special entry for those female that takes photos and who own a Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera.  I am very keen to show off my love to photography, that's why I try my luck on that.  However, I love photography as a whole, not just Single Lens Reflex photography but more on all kinds of format like Holga raw photos with holes and 110mm...  So I have put them into the entry too.  Do you love them?  Always welcome for comments ^^

After reviewing all my trips' photos, I would like to go for a holiday trip now!  I've planned to visit Sydney again in the coming September, yeah!  Saving money and wishing to have more freelances to earn more.  Anyone need video or motion graphics services?  Even web design?  Please give me a shout without hesitation ok?

I found this scene in Central last Friday afternoon after lunch meeting at Azure on the way back to office

Fascinating right?  That is for the campaign of "Against the poor" from Oxfam.

Hey guys, I know the Janice's MV that I have done will be released this coming week, looking forward to that.  For anyone that got chance to watch that, please leave me a message here ok?  Also I have been excited for the release of Harry Potter on the 08.06.09 a week long, I can't wait for that!

Still remember my little monster "Tigger"?  He is bigger and bigger now.  Here are some of his pics to share with you~

  • Changing plans

    Monday, May 25, 2009 2:00AM / Standard Entry

This week I got a lot of plans but changing all the time...
Before I planned to start another video competition entry, but too much work from my full time job, so got to delay that.  I have planned to go for my friend's painting exhibition on Saturday and a dog cruise on Sunday, but because of the heavy rain, canceled as well.  However, I can't sit still at home so I end up went to the Louis Vutton Exhibition at TST on Sunday very late afternoon.

There are lot of artworks are disappointing.  Only 4 that truly impressed me.  One is the structure model of the building, the photo above.  2nd one is the video installation of "Guns and war".  3rd one is a projection installation pretending a light or sunshine out from window.  The last one is the 2 animations from Takashi Murakami for LV.  That's really helps in enriching the "sensation" of owning any LV products.

Inside the exhibition, there is a very fun and scary incident...  I found there is an artwork from Bertrand Lavier, Empress of India II 2005, is a calligraphy design formed by kino flo (Neon tubes).  On the description, it says it is an artwork full of surprises even when the lights off will have another kind of illusion.  Because of that sentense, I told my friend that there is a "STOP" button besides, which should be a button for us to press and have some interactivity.  And very soon after, my friend pressed the button unexpectedly!  We were freaked out because that is not a button for that function after all...  Guard was freaked out too!  No one could react after that.  It's lucky it could be easily turned back on.  However, this is a real mess!!  I should say, I am guilty for this act, but I truly think that the "STOP" button is part of the exhibition.  I was really disappointed.  For that kind of button, it should be protected by transparent acrylic box, or else, the guard should react straight away without any kind of hesitation.  We sured that the guard noticed my friend get closer to the button and try to press, but she didn't warn her but furious after we pressed it...  Also when we got closer to watch a painting, they will say we gonna touch that, but we didn't.  If they truly think people will touch it, can't they put a line or fence in between to block the way out?  People who are not familiar to exhibition will not knowing the regulation at all~

I love all kind of exhibition, and seldom get disappointed, but this one i truly feel so.  I still remember the exhibition of Chanel Mobile Art!  That was so good in comparison to this one.  Even the Vivien Westwood Exhibtion, it just about fashion still interested me a lot!  What a shame...

  • Exhausted week so rest with "Tigger"~

    Tuesday, May 19, 2009 11:25PM / Standard Entry

I was too exhausted last week...  I even have missed out visiting the Hong Kong International Art Fair ...  Finally, I had a very good sleep and play with the little monster "Tigger" on last Sunday.  Forget how Tigger's look like?  Here you go, he is much bigger now ^^  and he had a promising foster parent that who will pick him up on the 1st of June...
