Born in Seattle, Washington to a Filipino Mother and Spanish Father Bernardo Peña knew that he wanted to be an actor at an early age. The first time Bernardo stepped on stage electricity flowed through his body and that’s when the acting bug took a huge bite out of him.
Growing up in a family of traditions and after obtaining his B.A. in both International Business and Psychology, he went to work for the Microsoft Corporation. First in their Product Marketing Division and then on to their Global Business Strategy Group. Even though Bernardo did very well in his job, he always had fire for the stage his my heart. However, he always made time for the theater and made sure that he was involved in some sort of way.
After 5 years of living the double life of daytime businessman and nighttime thespian, Bernardo put his belongings in storage and moved to Los Angeles with only a picture of his family, a suitcase, $200 in his back pocket and a dream. And it’s been one adventurous ride ever since.
