thanx for the suggestion....maybe I should try that.....seems I have software problems...I'll try do delete
some junk as well.

If you can right click on the image, choose 'View Image' & get an 'http' that ends in 'jpg' you can post it directly to the MB.

If not, you do need to host it at a place such as Photobucket first.

If you have that 'http' ending in 'jpg' you can just copy it, then paste it between brackets, starting with .

Good luck, feel free to PM me. No worries, I can guarantee it won't take you as long to figure this out as it did me when I started here hahaha. Star earned her crown in heaven talking me thru it lol.

ETA-I'm known for telling ppl stuff they already know, sorry if you already knew all this haha

Whats annoying me (more) today?

The fact that some junky F**K broke into my house, stole 500yen, moved a knife from my kitchen sink and placed it in the middle of my living room and kicked in my back door.

Two police visits later and there has been no finger printing done and it was up to ME to ask my neighbours if they heard anything.

That's terrible. But you guys are ok, right?

Yeah, me, hubby and cat are fine. I was the only one home though. I went out for my sisters birthday and hubby worked and then went out with some friends for a church thing so when I got home there was no one hear. I'm going to have to take tomorrow off work to get the door fixed as we can't leave the place empty. The whole thing is just crazy. We're lucky that the neighbour heard banging at about 11pm and turned his lights on and looked out the back door. He probably scared them off so they didn't stick around to clean us out. I'm happy that my instruments are still here.

That's just awful Aussie.  Such an invasion.  I don't even like the thought of someone touching my stuff.  But I'm glad you weren't there.  Don't ever confront a nut case with a knife, that's a rule to LIVE by.

This is worse than anything just generically "annoying."

Agreed about the generic annoying but I've gone from shite scared to angry in like a 6 hour period.

Now I'm just annoyed at the complete lack of investigation by the police.

Aussilung, I am so sorry about your situation.   Your family is alive and that is the important thing.  The police don't care until it happens to them and then they want the entire police department hunting down the criminals.

Thanks MAL.

I am starting to think you may be right about the whole "police not caring till it happens to them" comment.

I know nothing important was taken but the whole walking around with the place with a knife and leaving it in the living room thing can't possibly taken as a nothing situation right? I mean that sets off some real alarms in my head.

It's odd how things happen, but just a day or so after your incident, a local house was also burglarized. But when I came by, the police had their forensics team there and all. Are they maybe really busy, in your area? You know the kind of thing I mean, too much serious crap going on, that sort of relegates an incident without personal injury to the bottom of the 'to-do' list?
Not making excuses for them, but I know over here, that there's a lot keeping them busy, and that stuff where no one got physically hurt kinda goes on the back burner. And the fact that no one was home may have just presented a target of 'opportunity' to the bad guy. And again, I'm not saying that you or Mr Aussie should have been at home. But these sort of guys usually look for the path of least resistance, and an empty house is just that.
I'm just very glad that no one got physically hurt. I understand that there's a sense of violation, after this, and  I hope that you guys get back to an even keel as best you can.

I am very annoyed because my cat got fleas on his overnight stay at the vet's last Wednesday.  He has never been outside, and he has never been anywhere near another animal.  He was fine before, but since I picked him up on Thursday, he spends his waking hours frantically scratching.  Then last evening the top of my foot started itching, and lo and behold... there was a flea!  I HATE those little bastards!  So this morning I gave him a bath with cat flea shampoo, and when he gets done grooming, I've got a flea collar to put on him.  If this doesn't help, I'm going to call the vet's office and ask them what they're going to do about it.

I despise all bugs, especially the kind that want to feed on me!  I give our cat Advantage (other brands exist, too)...once a month, a little tube of medicine gets squirted between her shoulder blades by yours truly.  Licking the stuff makes her "flea proof" as long as you consistently do the once-a-month application.  The side-benefit from this is that she doesn't get tape worms (caused by fleas).

So, you should be looking for tape worms in your little kitty....beware the rice-like droppings!

Good luck....you might have to bomb your house, too, if they're hopping on you!  Once now and once in 2 wks.

That is annoying.

Thanks for the advice.

Neighbor Susan was just over and picked 6 fleas off of Mannie's head and face.   She also suggested Advantage, and agreed that I should call the vet's and complain.

Maybe the vet will give you the Advantage for free, it's the least they can do. Fleas can cause allergic dermatitis in dogs, don't know if that holds true for cats. You might want to get the Advantage ASAP. It's important to part the fur & put it right on the skin.

Yes, cats can get flea-related dermatitis. My orange kitty has that. I've been using Frontline for him, and the baby. The baby won't take to a collar, and they're not the most effective, anyway.  But for me, the drops get muy expensive, when you're dosing 9 of 'em, every month.
How'd Mannie take his bath? My little one cried like I was killing her, when I bathed her (she had lice nits, as a wee kitten.) Dorje thought I was hurting her, and circled my feet, batting my ankles, and squeaking frantically (she can't meow.) It was hilarious and cute as anything.

I wish.  I also wish I had insisted on somebody there (vet or asst.) running that little flat plastic thing over Mannie to test for fleas before I paid the bill and took him home.

Wu, he was very good when I gave him his bath in the kitchen sink using the spray hose thingie to get him wet good.  Then I lathered him twice with cat flea shampoo from tail to neck, but not ears, face, etc.  Then I rinsed him real good.  He never meowed once, and only tried to put his feet up on the edge of the sink twice to make a get-a-way.

My neighbor also clipped his back claws while I held him, and he was great.  When I tried to clip them a couple of days ago he was terrible, so I only got 3 of them done.  She said I had clipped the one too far down.  When I dropped him off for his surgery, I requested that they please cut his back claws, so I'm going to complain about that too.

Advantage and Frountline are realy good because it kills the fleas on the cat, in there bedding and any where else the cat spends the majority of there day. The applicationn will basically kill all the fleas that have hoped off and are roaming the house eventually. A flea bomb of the house is also a good idea but if you can't leave the house empty for a day go to the pet store and look into some of the surface sprays that they have for fleas. There not as instant death as the flea bomb but far less invasive in your life.

Hmmm what annoys me today is that my friend is an idiot...I don't think I need to elaborate...
