We had to go to a conference in Vegas and so we decided to take our daughter and make a week of it, we met up with Neo a couple of times while we were there:
This is Neo and Bond - we were on our way to see the fountain show but it was cancelled - too windy. (The teddy bear was a gift for my daughter, he doesn't normally carry soft toys around with him).
This is my daughter showing Neo the toy mice we bought her at FAO Schwartz that day which she was very pleased with.
Vegas was fantastic, I haven't been to the US for a while and I'd forgotten how friendly and nice everyone is, not at all like London, we can't wait to take her back when she's a bit older.

The reason I am somewhat dark in the "80s" pic is because I took a one day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas and I fell asleep on the deck of the ship. When I woke up, I was literally toast. But I looked really good once I got back to NY.

This is not the first marrage for either of us, so we eloped! Hence, we didn't spend a fortune. I made the vail myself. Yup. fabric from Jo Ann Fabrics was $3.99, Tiara from Claires was $4.99. My husband had a hot glue gun. I looked everywhere for a silk ivory dress. Found one for $179.00 on J-Crew! We drove to a Victorian Bed and Breackfast and married in the back yard gazebo. The weekend stay, the pastor, cake, flowers, photo's included! All for $1,000.
I recommend a similiar wedding to anyone. First marrage or not. Simple, sweet, affordable. We had a great time without all of the pressure.

the new band is still in the works...i found a stand up bass player (hard as shit to find!)...still lookin for a drummer. all i need is a guitar amp. i have 3 different guitars to fix. i gotta put a Bigsby Vibrato system on my Syncromatic Gretsch Junior Jet. I got to refret my telecaster and put new pick ups in it. I've got a Gibson Les Paul that i'm about to get from my friend and all i've got to do to it is put a new nut on it and strip the spray paint off of it. I might need to replace the pickups on that...not sure yet. Either way i'll be getting a $1500 guitar for like a 75% discount (if it needs pick ups) or like a 95% discount if it only needs a new nut. All that and an amp and i'll be set.
you'd probably love Gretsch and them...they really have the stage act thing down. their constant banter is almost worth seeing them alone. the music doubles that worth.

i normally don't like to post alot of pics cuz i don't want to overload the site. this is prob a stupid question, but is preffered that alot of pic's and gifs aren't posted? or is it ok cuz i post them from photobucket?

posting pix is not a question of overloading the site, it's a matter of being courteous to those people on slower connections. since your pix are hosted somewhere else, it is not a strain on the bandwidth of the actual site itself. however, it can cause pages to load slowly anyways, because the pictures on the user's browser still have to load (doesn't matter from where).
most people's posts are well within reasonable limits as far as i've seen. however, if you really feel like posting a ton of pix maybe just post links to the pix, post thumbnails, or just make a quick website and post a link to there.

Flagday- My hair is naturaly quite dark. I occasionaly change the colour to a lighter brown or a red. I even had it a little blond for a while. Over the last year though I have been keeping it a dark chocolate brown, occasionaly adding bright red highlights. I need to re-do the red this week sometime.
I'm not playing with anyone at the moment but I did express an interest in a band called 'Skool Captain Maycroft'. The lead singer and guitarist is looking for a bass player and drummer to join him once he gets off tour with his other band. I am also writing some solo stuff and once I find the right people to work with I'll think about doing something with that.

Well thats kinnda complicated.
In the past there was a country called Yugoslavia. It was a country with a several states ( Like US has 52 states if i am not wrong). Slovenija, Croatija, Bosnia, Serbija, Macedonija and Montenegro. The great war separated there conturys. It was in the 90's.
Serbians dont hate Croatians. They hate us. Even when we were in the same country they deeply hated us. I dont know why exactly. They always considered us like pigs and things that are never supose to exist. They even teach their kids to hate Serbians.
Dont get me wrong. I am not protecting my country. I am just saying what i know and what ive learnd in history classes.
Serbia is country with good kinded people. An openminded country. We even have a lot of Croatian singers too. We juse accept everything and everyone. Everyone is welcomeed.
In Croatia there are no Serbian singers. The tourists are rare. If you speek Serbian in Croatia you are a potential target for bulling. We are just not welcome in this state.
You must ask your friend why he hates Serbians so much. Ask him what Serbians are like. If he goes on that we are pigs and he doesnt say anything. Then he doesnt know anything about Serbs. I know, how you feel - this happened to me quite often at university and I also had some bad experiences with those guys during schooltime :roll: even with those guys who grew up around here - sometimes it means nothing, where they actually grew up :evil:
But I also had some few good experiences - but they are in minority :cry:

Hi Admirer! Welcome to the MB! This thread was originally started before the Jet Li Member Forum (JLMB) was ported over to AliveNotDead (which just happened a few weeks ago). So, this was the only way we could post up pics of ourselves.
Now, you have your own personal space at AliveNotDead and can post up your own pics to your profile.
You can leave comments for JET LI by clicking on his artist's profile and either leaving comments in his Guestbook or after his Blogs. Whether or not he'll actually see them (because he's so busy!!!) I don't know, but at least you can express yourself.

The reason I looked is that they told us they ported over EVERYONE from the old MB, even if that person hadn't posted in a long time. If the JLMBr's name conflicted with someone already registered at Alive Not Dead, then they added something to the name. For example, I think it was Eileen who became "Eileen-JetLi."
I thought that might've happened to you. They also ported over all kinds of things with your name "Amaya" like your entire PM history. Stargazer got a kick out of that.
Bottom line, if you want to log into Amaya and use it, but you can't remember your password, you can probably write to an Admin and tell them you want back in. Maybe they can help you with that.
As for the math, I confess I looked at your profile and saw 1513 days...but I didn't do it in my head, just on my keypad! So you were a member a LONG time.....since you were 11 years old.

Long story.. I got invited to the C2G set in LA. I was in California on business.. It was both work and play.. I was working for the Marine Corps and the Commandant at that time was very interested in speaking to Jet about being the martial arts spokesperson for the Marine Corps martial arts program. He was invited to the Commandant's official home in DC.. Nothing ever came of it.
Jet's English coach was probably the coolest person I met in addition to Mark of course . He used to live in Greenich Village and was probably in his 70s. I could have spent hours with him. I don't know if he was hired for just that one movie or if he's worked with him during all his movies in the U.S. but I hope he's doing well today.
I was on the set where they were filming the cage scene with the UFC fighters. I met some other people too.. If I remember correctly Beaver was sitting at the table with us. The photo I posted is the only one from that day. Jet was very nice. I got the impression he wanted his photo taken with me; he has a nice way of making you feel comfortable but you can tell on the photo I'm not very comfortable. I'm not really a meet-n-greet type of person. I'd rather get straight to work.

I agree totally. He was awesome-- a total teddy bear in fact and very accommodating in a variety of ways. I remember him taking me in the cafeteria/truck thing on the set and giving me a banana to munch on..
I just wish he could have worked some photographic magic on me-- made me look young and hot

Not the people I've met.. I think we just hung around some strange people in Okinawa. We used to go to a member's only club in Naha that a lot of the professionals and govt personnel frequented.. they were probably the strangest. One man was always asking us for naked photos of Mel Gibson or maybe his English was just really bad, hard to tell.
Personally I have always found Japanese American men to be very attractive..

Oh yeah I'm white alright...although i have a very slight watch mark tan line from summer which i m kinda proud of...lol...but i pretty much have to swim in the sun screen before i go out in the sun...lol...i make my Somalian friend look like a shadow and my friend look yellow (according to him that is)...like slightly jaundice yellow...the joys of coming from an English background...and my hair is naturally like that...it can be a real pain...especially when it rains or is humid...my friend wants me to straighten it...but i never get the chance...it takes too long with a hair dryer...i need a hair iron...but i can't afford it at the mo...
As for TAFE...all i have to do is pass a haematology exam that i failed and thats it...i never have to see that place EVER again...i MAY be doing it next week but it depends on the teacher...the head teacher is trying to make it so i dont have to pay 500 bucks and i can just do the test...but it will depend on my teacher for that subject...i reckon she ll just let me do the test...then i can get out of her hair...and she can confuse a whole new bunch of people with her thick Bolivian accent...

sorry about the quality...i couldnt and still cant afford a digital camera...
this was taken at school before we left for the formal you can see the bus in the background...it was taken in 2004 and i was in yr 12 that dress is the only pink thing in my cupboard but it s not like you'd notice because its now in a black bag...he he...i dont like pink but that dress is the exception...well it s actually not a dress its a top and a skirt...and i lost weight so its a bit big for me...i needed to hitch the skirt up a lot...but not to worry i ll never wear it again i dont like it that much and besides it needs to be altered and i can't be bothered...i had my hair straightened for the first time for that night...the finished 'do' was't exactly what i wanted but it looked nice anyway...the hairdresser just did it...the place we went to was called Pepper's Fairmont and its in a little town called Leura in the Blue Mountains and its not far from Katoomba and you can see the Three Sister from there without actually having to go to Katoomba (Katoomba is a dump) and it was really nice...the formal was on December 1st so in the foyer there was this massive Christmas tree that looked really nice...there was this nice wooden staircase that went down to the function rooms...the food was great...our dinner was a buffet and after that we could dance...it was one of my friend's 18th Birthday (she is no longer my friend) so it was organized that there would be a cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday it was so much fun...we did the Macarena (sp) and the Nut Bush and the Chicken Dance (yes we did and it was cool dont laugh some of us even used to do the Hokey Pokey before class started at school but thats another story) but yeah the formal was awesome...

They do something here called The High School Dance at dances & weddings & it is totally cool to watch. Two brothers did it the best I've seen at my niece's wedding last year. There are set steps & it starts out slow & works it's way up to a maniacal speed. Their Mom joined in for awhile & did great, but she had to drop out when the insane part set in. It was great to see the brother's go at it as others dropped out, full speed but each with their own style. I'm sure it helped they're both very athletic & on the track team at school. Takes stamina to stick with it with all the jumping around, front, side, back, side & front again while still doing the steps.

thanks Seeker...i dont mind that pic...pity the quality isnt the best...the formal was awesome...i spent most of the night barefoot because my shoes cut my feet to pieces...and my legs hurt...the heels werent that high...they were about the same as all the rest of the shoes that i have with heels...but for some reason those ones hurt my legs...i cant wear really high heeled shoes because of my ankles and the fact that im 5ft 10in (177cm) and 2in heels would make me 6ft!!! i think i m tall enough...he he...
that dance they did at your wedding seems like it would be fun...

I'm not because I never ask to be notified about posts made on any thread. I only get an email when I receive a new PM.
That is a strange message you received. I wonder why it would say "Jet Li" when there is no user by that name... JET is "jetli". Seems it would read "Someone has replied to your subscribed forum thread, etc." Maybe you unknowingly marked this thread so you would be notified whenever "anybody" replied.

They train under Sifu Luo Li- I feel very lucky to have my children train under him.
Grand Master Sifu Luo Li is considered to be elite even among the professional martial artists in China. He was bestowed the title "King of Eagle Claw Style Kung Fu." While he is alive, no one else may claim this title.
He has won many first place awards, and many other awards in the National Wushu Competitions of the People's Republic of China. This includes winning first place men's individual all around title on more than one occasion.
He taught professional martial arts at the Physical Education College of Chengdu in Sichuan Province China, for four and a half years.

Yes, there are sickos everywhere. They come & go right here on this message board as a matter of fact. Luckily, personal information is unavailable to them, beyond what the posters choose to reveal. The pictures zjmom posted are very enjoyable to those who post here regularly & have seen her boys grow. The boys actual names are Fred & George & good luck to anyone who trries to find them based on green grass & the name 'Eagles', which is the name of a professional American football team used by about a thousand Pop Warner teams across the country. Also good luck to anyone who actually finds Fred & George, because they look like they'd have no trouble whatsoever giving them a good pop in the nuts & then outrunning them.

No, I don't hate you for your comments. Thank you for your concern. As someone that IS a parent, with my children as MY primary concern, I'm not quite as irresponsible as you seem to think. First, there are hundreds of Eagles football teams out there, not only in the US but abroad as well, school and recreation ball. Google it and see. Secondly, the same numbers are used on EVERY team, as well as the fact that their first names are very common and as most responsible sports programs do, only their last name is on their jerseys, as children rarely respond to being called by last names. Their last names have never been mentioned and neither has their school or grade or age or where we live. Thirdly, as they are never out of my sight unless they are at school, I have no fear of anyone walking up right in front of me and having the slightest chance of getting near them. And last, they're not only cute, but pretty damn smart, have been told specifically and know well that neither myself or their father would ever send a stranger to get them for any reason. Kids, especially older ones, don't trust near as much as you seem to think they do. They. after all, live in the same warped world the rest of us do, and they see and hear everything
Like I said, I appreciate your concern, but I watch out for my boys, online and off. As far as posting pictures, if you've posted any of you, perhaps you should have those same concerns for yourself. Wackos don't only target children.

As long as you're ok with it all, it's your bussiness ofcourse, I just thought to say something out of
concern. People beam with pride and joy and it's understandable to want to show off, but It's not necessary, so maybe it's better to avoid the internet and posting kid photos, I don't know.

Geez, ZJMom, what are you feeding those kids! It's like the last picture I saw they looked like babies and now....and in uniform. I remember that transition. My son transformed from child to a boy and young guy...in fact, his dad and uncles used to call him "guy" "hey guy, get over here, but first go get me a Pepsi." It's such a wonderful thing to watch them grow into young men but I'm sure you also feel a bit wistful for those days when they threw their little arms around in abandoned love for mommy. I hear you, they're already at the point where they like to look "cool". It happens so fast.

I totally agree here. I've mused in my blog about what a challenge it can be to change one's style & proved that right here once again with my own initial posts to Stagesamurai. The honest truth tho is the thing I regret re: my own posts is the sour puss comment. She's a lovely young girl, and that had no reason to be in a post. I apologize for that comment.
I must say it is getting tiresome getting mistaken for a guy when I let my freak flag fly with forceful opinions and/or annoyance. I love guys, but they're guys. It's just that I'm a woman, always have been & plan to stay that way, all jokes aside about considering a change. Oh heck, this is the Picture Thread, not a discussion thread per se so I'll just leave it at that. The only other thing I'd say is while the regulars who often post are a relatively small group. It's not a closed community imo, but it is nevertheless a community. The majority of those who post (including myself) are open to new members joining in, with the only guideline being to ease into things & see who the cast of characters are & what the community is like before being snarky, as I once saw the elusive hphan refer to it.
So with that one thing in mind, please, feel free to join in the threads down below Stagesamuai if you're still around. And btw Jesse you couldn't be more wrong about people not appreciating your good qualities. I can give you links to prove it. Speaking generally, I don't know about anyone else, but I have no problem whatsoever continuing a discussion. I just hope it would continue down below in the threads where it belongs instead of the Picture thread where Pictures belong, in my opinion anyhow. Which certainly isn't the last word on anything.

Flagday, the boys are now eating everything that's not nailed down, with a few exceptions. I used to fuss about it, but I liked it better when they wore their clothes to shreds long before they should have. Now they're out of them before they look worn. Shoes too. I need another job. Zack plays special teams and offensive line and Jake plays both offensive and defensive line, though he likes defense better.
