Next...

I enjoyed this film too, has anyone seen 'My Tutor Friend' if not then I think if you liked 'My Sassy Girl' you would like it ;)

As for Korean names, I struggle too, sometimes I feel a little schizophrenic as it is with English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Hakka!

??

sassy girl goes for laughs 85% of the film's time. even the more serious part in the 2nd half wasn't meant to solicit a tear, just reflection. not sure we're talking about the same movie.

'do you want to die?'

"My Sassy Girl" is considered among the top 10 most popular Korean cultural symbols in China. In a survey of 15 million people in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan the film ranked in the top ten most representative Korean items along with TV dramas, plastic surgery, kimchi and music bands.

plastic surgery?! well, i never woulda thunk!! haha

my sassy girl

finally got to see this one. aiya, it's such a cute rom-com. young guy meets drunk girl in a subway. she's agonized over a lost bf. boy helps her that night and another night. they become friends who've probably fallen for each other but they don't take it to the next level. her parents don't like him anyways. she's not ready to enter into another relationship. they agree to meet again in 2 years. they eventually do.

they don't seem compatible beyond friends. she's a spunky girl who's a bit dominating and prone to slapping and ordering him around. of course, it's a front. but he is sympathetic and endures her abuse bc he feels he's helping her through her emotional crisis. lots of funny situations that'll make you laugh or, at the very least, smile. at the beginning when she barks at a rider to give up his subway seat for a senior was hilarious, cos you don't know what to expect from this pretty girl (who happens to be very drunk). very enjoyable if you like charming, but not sappy, stuff. thanks for reading.

the news is that jeon ji hyun, the girl, is currently being cast in hollywood for a blockbluster action adventure movie. i guess she knows a little english.

and i am finding it immensely difficult to remember the names of the korean actors. it's like i'm dyslexic when it comes to that, but i can't for the life of me get their names. i can remember jang dong gun but nobody else's name sticks in my brain. funny and annoying!
