Jet Li was in Taiwan shooting 心六伦 Xin Liu Lun (six ethics/ways of living?) Buddhist charity commercial.

"Welcome to Singapore," Chow Yun Fatt.

Media's concerns are not on the charity but on his taking up of Singapore citizenship. Jet Li replies, "Earth is my home. For the past 20 years, doesn't matter what passport I carry, I thank those that accept me. Whether you criticise me, or love me, I'm willing to accept different voices, for I'm a Buddhist."

On filmmaking, Jet says it depends on fate, he'll only take up offers when he's free.

However I hope Jet doesn't spend too much time away from films but he must follow his heart because what he is doing is more important, I'm just being selfish lol

Elhcay...I guess that confirms it?  Jet has become a citizen of Singapore?  I have not read any follow-up to that claim before.  He does not deny it and suggests that he can take the criticism his decision will inevitably cause.  Still...very surprising to me.  The ladies were right.  Planet Earth is his home.  It is mine too but you still need a passport to travel internationally.

I'm not quite sure why this is so disturbing to people.  Jet seems to be saying that he needs to move around to be happy and that seems to be what he has done all his life.  He lived here, Hong Kong when it was independent, parts of China and now Singapore.  And goodness knows he has traveled everywhere.  

I think that it is great.  More power to him if that what he wants and it is hurting no one.

I think that Jet want to be in peace , the better way is loving him After all ,whatever his choice belong to him,it's is private life and decision ,even if he is known. Personally, i think that media shouldn't speak about citizen nationality, he do enough for his native country,he do his best, the media should only help him for the O-Foundation , and not about what is private, I don't understand that.   Of course ,some people of chinese country are against, but he love his country , so  why not let him doing what he want  ,and respect him and his decisions?.For me that's the better way.

Lol  I wish I had enough money for the entire earth to be my home too. Due to financial restrictions I mostly reside within, say, a 30 sq mile radius in the state of NJ.  


ETA-  I do wonder how much peace & privacy Jet & his family will find intheir new residence in Singapore, since the location of the home theybought is now well known...

I feel sorry for those people who actually have set aside so much time and effort to be upset by Jet's decision to live where he darn well pleases.  There are so many other things in life that demand more attention tha Jet's current citizenship....
