I suppose if you get new shoes, we'll be throwing you an engagement party.

lol no way! Marriage is where you learn so much seemingly insignificant information about a person that you forget why you liked them in the first place. It's like twitter.

a new lawnmower, or a new minion to cut the lawn.
Yeah, I know. I dwell. It's just that every time I look out the window there's the meadow, and people's heads are turning when they walk by the house.

I understand. Mine was so out of hand, that the cats were hiding, just a few feet from the door. It looked like no one lived here.
It's fixed now, though.
Hope you get it worked out Seeker.

My problem is just the opposite. Susan (next door) has mowed my lawn for a couple of years, but this year she is working full time plus a lot of overtime, so her 13 yr. old son is doing it, and he does it every 4th day. I don't think it needs it but once a week, but I think he's in love with the $15 I pay him.

If you are getting as much rain as we are then every 4th day is not out of line. I cut it Monday and then Wednesday because I knew we were expecting at least an inch of rain today and parts of our land already looks like rice paddies. I cannot keep up. The parts I got to cut on Monday (before the rain) had already grown an INCH by Wednesday. This is crazy. These rains are like early spring rains not late spring/early summer rains. In other words I think the kid is just trying to keep up with the growth and keep it looking nice. Last Friday when I cut I had to cut the acres of grass we have 2 times and then had to go over it again the 3rd time in order to blow the clippings around. I was on that frigging mower for hours.

No, we've had beautiful weather lately, which has been great for the farmers trying to get in their crops. However, we got 2 inches of rain last evening and overnight from rolling thunderstorms. Now it's going to be clear until mid-afternoon, then we're suppose to get the severe weather coming in from the west, with possible large hail and a tornado or two. I put my car in the garage when I heard the weather forecast, and am glad my new sump pump is all ready to go... just in case.
And I'm bound to lose my dish network satellite signal at some point.

Yeah! This time she could do the staring, and tell the guy she senses that he's guarded.

Oh, wait. While I'm here I need help getting the lawnmower I bought out of the car. Anybody?
Don't ask me how I thought I was gonna get it out of there by myself lol. What can I say, it was on closeout & the deal was pay & take it.
I wonder if a slightly open trunk drains the battery. Anybody?
*sigh*

If your trunk has a light, yes it can. I try to get mine at least down, if not "clicked" shut. With a lawnmower though, all bets are off. . .

I mumbled to myself awhile then knocked on my neighbor's door. His wife answered. Don't think it was easy to tell her there was a lawnmower stuck in the trunk of my car & ask could her husband come over & get it out. For a second she just stared at me like I had one eye in the middle of my forehead.
But he was kind enough to come over & help, even set it up & got it started. Thx Chris!

My trunk light won't come on if it's only open a couple of inches, in which position it will stay.
But it would be just my luck if I left it like that, a gust of wind would come along during the night and I'd have a dead car.
I hope you like your new lawnmower, Sinister... er I mean Seeker.
