Hi Amaya!

Here's what's annoying me today:  I ordered 2 books of "Holiday Nutcrackers" and 1 book of "Forever" stamps from the local PO by marking an order sheet and enclosing a check for the mailman to pick up.  I got the stamps this morning... 3 books of "Forever" stamps.  I called the PO and was told that the "Holiday Nutcracker" stamps aren't available yet.  I said then why didn't they give me a refund along with the book of Forever stamps?  She said, "We can't do that."  I said then when they're available I want to exchange 2 of the books of "Forever" stamps for the Xmas stamps, but noooo... "You can't do that."

Why did they send the order form out if the stamps aren't even available?

Well, not so much annoying, as just gutting.

At about 4:30 this afternoon, number 4 son, Hemi, reentered the karmic wheel, and is awaiting his next rebirth. A sweeter soul is not easily found, and I pray, and believe, that his next life will be a good one. He was a swell cat, and loved his brothers and sisters. And me. A lot. He got his name because he purred like the Chrysler engines of old. He would purr if you would just talk to him, and loved to hog my computer chair, forcing me to sit on mere inches as he slept behind me. He enjoyed standing up on the chair so he could put his paws on my shoulders and give me kisses. I am grateful for the 11 wonderful, love-filled years with Hemi, who was also known as: Hemi Doodle, Doodle Noodle, Doodle Bug, and Brother Hemi. He will be sorely missed by me, and his brothers and sisters.

I heard him get hit by the car, but didn't know that was what I heard. I was planting bulbs, and the rest of the herd were playing and so on, around me. It was odd he wasn't there, being a pest. I walked down my driveway, and there he was. No blood, no visible injuries but a small scrape on his back foot. But he was gone. And I'm trying to deal, as best I can. Thank the maker I'm Buddhist: at least I know he'll be back. Maybe not in my life, but somewhere. And he was too good a boy to come back as a cat. I can't get used to having the whole chair to myself.

I'm so sorry to hear that Wu.  Hemi sounds like he was a great cat, aclose friend and a sweet guy.  I know your pain, too many times.  It'sa human response, Buddhist or not, to feel grief, pain, and loss, particularly for a pal who was so generally good-natured and lovingand attentive to you .  I'm crying a few tears for you my friend. Happy journey to Hemi, and hugs to you.

Thanks guys. The house seems emptier than it should, this morning. I still have 8, but it seems oddly short. I had the whole chair to myself last night, and this morning, and that ain't  right.

The fact that I have to play supervisor again for an indefinite amount of time.  I am not good at playing supervisor, cause I always want to fire everyone. The supervisor who just came back from puerto rico has to go back.  Her mother fell and broke her hip. If it is true, then I feel bad. I personally think she wants to back to use her boat that her and husband 3 months ago.

That's too bad.  What operas have you seen in person?  I still haven't developed a taste for it.  I've gotten a bunch of CDs and DVDs from the library and I just trail off.  Sure, there are a few songs which are familiar and arias which touch me, but on the whole the drama doesn't grab me.  I'd just as soon see it performed unstaged.   I keep saying this today, but I guess I'm a heathen.  I saw La Boehme and La Cenerentola in Rome.  It was good, beautifully sung, but it didn't make me want to see more.  When did it click for you?

I LOVE opera!  I watched "America's Got Talent", and the minute I heard Neal E. Boyd sing opera, I was rooting for him to win.  Week after week the fans voted him back.  Then it got down to the top five, and they performed one last time, then waited a week to see who won.  Yep, Neal won $1M and gets to head a show in Las Vegas.

This was the night he won:

This was his first appearance way back at the beginning:

That would have been my first live opry!

I'm annoyed that my leftover shrimp fried rice tasted like crap and my egg roll was chewy like a fig newton. I should have just ordered my typical General Tso's. >_<

No! The music will only serve to lubricate her ventricles, And thereby you will woo her with the eyes of the hawk and the hunger of the wolf. She's the floppy eared bunny to your polar bear of justice. Your heart doesn't break; it attacks! You'll make her heart break, and do backspins, from the sheer power of your assault.

Lubricate her ventricles???

Humor is great but I had my ventricles lubricated today by a great Italian chef who made me a special cheesy polenta covered in a mushroom menage a trois in an brown oniony sauce.  He asked the waitress whether I enjoyed it and my cousin volunteered that I was orgasmic over it.  Ok, I guess I was having a sequence of  "When Harry Met Sally" moments with every bit.  The chef and his sous chef listened to the waitress recount our description (you can see in the kitchen from the dining area).  They laughed and cheered with their hands pumping in the air.  Too funny.  They broadly smiled at me as I left and thanked them for the thrill of my day.  The new item on the menu might be Polenta Colmirano after today!   I've had multiple orgasms since then as I've been whittling away the leftovers.

Be funny and cook and my heart is yours, ventricles and all!

Have fun Hphan.  Just be your own charming self.  She will be impressed with your good taste.  The band and herself.   Don't let it end badly.
