South Korean actor Dong-Kun Jang will act in the new thriller by French director Luc Besson, the Information Times reported on Wednesday.
International stars Natalie Portman and Milla Jovovich are also expected to star in the film.
Set in present-day New York, the film will chronicle subplots triggered by serial killings.
Based on an award-winning novel by a South Korean college professor, the Korean-French film, yet to be titled, will start filming in early 2009.

According to on Qilu Evening News, Jang Dong Gun, Jet Li, Natalie Portman are in the 30 billion Korean won (US$28.65m (or more likely US$30m) movie Project Qin Shi Huang (translated title) by Luc Besson.
Jang Dong Gun's agent says they're in talks concerning but it's not settled, but the media are already reporting he has joined. (So, Jet's involvement at this point is probably uncertain)
The movie's basic premise was derived from Qin Shi Huang sending pople to the Eastern Sea to search for pills of immortality. The film itself is set in modern day New York. A series of bizzare murders points to a mysterious Qin Shi Huang revival project, spanning various ancient locales in Asia. (Or did someone just make up the story out of Mummy 3?) Filming will take place in US, France, China, Japan, etc.

Since Luc Besson is behind this project, definitely hope for Jet to go for it. And as the film is being produced in early 2009, he'd have served his vow of one year One Foundation work.
