台灣制片人楊盼盼有意將他打造成一代功夫型男，在拍完《功夫無敵》之後，不惜等了兩年也一定要等到吳建豪的檔期開拍同系列電影《功夫廚神》。吳建豪有一件胸口印著“伍家國術會”字樣的T恤，他說每逢“重要場合”都會拿出來穿，因為這件衣服對他來說意義非凡，標志著他轉型做“打星”的開始。采訪這天，他又將這件T恤穿在身上。

記者：這件T恤對你有著怎樣的意義？

吳建豪：2003年拍《少年阿虎》時，我認識了武術指導伍允龍，後來我們一起合作過《猛龍特警隊》。我從那時起拜他為師學武術，這件衣服印的就是他的武館的標志。這件衣服標志著我拍動作片的開始。

Van ness:In 2003, at shooting on [Star runner], I knew Philip Ng as an action choreographer, and then we played opposite each other on [Dragon Squad]. Since then, I've learned Wu-Shu from him as my mentor, and this T-shirt is the symbol of his Kung-fu school. It represents that I start to shooting an action movie.

ヴァネス：2003年の『スター・ランナー』の撮影の時に、僕は武術指導をしていたフィリップ・ンと知り合い、その後僕らは『ドラゴン・スクワッド』で共演した。その時から僕はフィリップを師として武術を学んでいて、このTシャツは彼の武館のシンボル。これは僕がアクション映画の撮影に入る、っていうことの証しなんだ。
