NOTED: Latest Entry listed is not the latest entry
When I edit an existing entry and re-publish it, I notice that it is NOT in fact the latest entry appearing up in the Members/Latest Entry listing.
Instead, one of the other entries that hasn't been edited shows up on the front page of Latest Entry.
I believe it should be the re-published entry that ought to appear as "later" than the others already published.
For example, just now I edited and re-published "You list 3." However, in Members/Latest Entry, "I shoot and I score" appears at the latest entry. I experimented by editiing "Fasten your seatbelts..." and, still "I shoot and I score" appears as the latest (at the top, as a matter of fact).
From previous experience, when one re-publishes an entry, that entry would appear as the latest in the Members/Latest Entry tab.

Peach, did you go to advanced and change the publish date and time?
I don't know maybe I'm not helping...but I tried.

Change the time?
That's not the point.
The wrong entry is being "updated" when it wasn't even touched.

Ya this is a known problem that is a low-priority item to fix. Essentially, when you save/edit a blog entry it saves the time as the time you did your last post. However, the way the last entry list works is that it sorts by the actual date/time of your entries (which you can also manually override, as noted, from the advanced area).
Ideally the two are synced, but there were some performance reasons for doing it this way originally.

Hm.
Not sure if this is addressing what I was reporting.
I edit an entry and that was not the one that appeared in Latest Entry as the latest. Some unedited one moved to 1st page of Latest Entry.
However, this morning I edited an entry and it appeared on the 1st page of LE (where it previously wasn't). Didn't have to adjust the time or date. Hm. I don't know what's going on over therrrrrre.

The "latest entry" list you're refering to is chooses by "publish date", NOT by last edit date (this doesn't exist on a per entry basis). Once you publish an entry, its publish date stays the same unless you manually change it (or erase it in which case it will take the current date/time).
So the "latest entry" list essentially picks the top item in your blogs/photo albums all the time. The order you appear in the "latest entry" list is based on the last time you edited a blog/album...This is the mis-synchronization i'm talking about. It essentially only shows the expected result when you publish a new blog/album entry and pretty much never when you edit an entry (unless the entry you're editing is the very latest one).

oic
So the last entry is the one that keeps popping up at the "top" even though a change is done on an older entry, unless the date is included in the change.
For some reason, I thought I saw (a puddy tat) older entries appearing at the "top" even tho no date was adjusted. Hm.
Thanks for explaining.
